Broncos owner supports Plummer

SUN WIRE REPORTS
The Denver Broncos have a contractual decision to make this off-season that will determine whether Jake Plummer is their quarterback of the future.
Pat Bowlen believes it's an easy call at this juncture, and as the club's owner, he signs the checks.
"I don't hear any talk around here about Jake not being our quarterback of the future," Bowlen said this week. "Where I hear that is from is the media and fans. I don't hear it from inside the building."
Bowlen made it clear the ultimate pronouncement will come from coach Mike Shanahan. But Bowlen also came out firmly in Plummer's corner.
So, barring unforeseen circumstances, Plummer at the least figures to be on the books until 2009.
Plummer's contract includes a provision where the team must decide on or before the first day of the league year in March whether to pay him $6 million to trigger the final three years of the deal or buy him out.
The accident occurred when Rayburn turned in front of an oncoming vehicle, said Inspector William Colarulo. Rayburn then left his car parked in front of a nearby store and flagged down officers.
