Letter: Bush’s harsh, senseless agenda to be lamented
Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004 | 9:24 a.m.
A majority of Americans made a clear choice in the presidential race on Election Day.
They said yes to prisoner-of-war abuse, out-of-control deficits, national energy policies written by big oil companies and adding bigotry to the U.S. Constitution
They agreed that a dash of protoplasm in a woman's womb should be protected at all costs, but as soon as that zygote turns into a human being it is fine to let it live in poverty and eventually ship it off to an unwarranted war to kill and be killed.
They gave their stamp of approval to pharmaceutical companies getting wealthy off of taxpayer dollars while the elderly have to choose between lifesaving medicine and food or heat.
And they concurred that it is perfectly fine to allow a mass murderer who planned the deaths of more than 3,000 Americans to roam free for three years while the military runs a for-profit personal vendetta out of the White House.
Yes, the American people spoke on Nov. 2. God help this country.
