Woman found dead had been strangled

Theresa Insana, the 26-year-old Summerlin woman whose body was found Monday at a Summerlin-area construction site, died of strangulation, the coroner's office said.
The body was discovered by construction workers in a drainage culvert, wrapped in some sort of material, Metro Police Homicide Lt. Tom Monahan said. He declined to say what she was wrapped in, but said it was not plastic.
Insana was reported missing last week after she failed to show up for two days at her sales job at the Rio. Police found all of her personal belongings and her dog in her home, and there was no sign of forced entry.
Police are in the process of trying to figure out who killed Insana and why. Monahan said detectives have no obvious suspects, but no one has been excluded.
"We are just now starting our investigation in earnest," Monahan said Tuesday.
