Walter G. Cederberg
Walter G. Cederberg, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 3, 1919, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired salesman and a retired Army major and World War II veteran.
He is survived by his two sons, John Cederberg of Los Angeles and Jim Cederberg of Las Vegas; one daughter, Jan Carroll of Henderson; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, Boulder City, is handling private arrangements.
Frank Carol Damewood
Frank Carol Damewood, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 15, 1925, in Princeton, W.Va. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired plumber, World War II Marine Corps veteran, and a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525, Paradise Valley Democratic Club, Las Vegas Parliamentarians, Greater Nevada Detachment of the Marine Corps League and Moose 1763.
He is survived by two sons, Frank Damewood of North Las Vegas and Mark Damewood of Las Vegas; one daughter, Debra Damewood of Novi, Mich.; one sister, Mary Farrer of Redford, Va.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the Moose Charities Memorial Program, c/o Moose Charities Inc., 86 A St., Mooseheart, IL 60539-9903.
Anthony 'True' Dease
Anthony "True" Dease, 39, of Las Vegas died May 19 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 13, 1964 in New York. A resident for six years, he was a tile setter.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; six sons, Joel Cruz, Michael Cruz, David Cruz, Adrian Thomas, Juray Thomas and Anton Dease; two daughters, Brittany Goldman and Antonette Dease; and numerous brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North
Norma I. Gersten
Norma I. Gersten, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 7, 1921, in California. A resident for 51 years, she was a retired retail sales clerk and a member of the Sun City Sewing Club.
He is survived by two sons, John Corcoran and Tom Corcoran; one daughter, JoAnn Roberts; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Lenore 'Lee' Herard
Lenore "Lee" Herard, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born April 15, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired bank clerk.
She is survived by her husband, Frank.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Cemetery.
Douglas M. Killham
Douglas M. Killham, 69, of Fort Collins, Colo., died May 12. He was born May 12, 1935, in Sidney, Neb. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a boot fitter in the ski industry, a ski magazine writer, a lecturer and museum guide.
He is survived by many friends.
There be no services. Bohlender Funeral Chapel, Fort Collins, is handling arrangements.

Donna Jane Kline
Donna Jane Kline, 45, of Las Vegas died May 19. A resident for 10 years, she was born Aug. 18, 1958, in Illinois.
She is survived by one daughter, Jasmine Smith of California; her mother, Pearl Kline; and two brothers, Gary Kline of California and Jimmey Kline of Florida.

Shirlee Levine
Shirlee Levine, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 7, 1927, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired manager for a department store and a member of the Lupus Association.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Moss of Las Vegas; one son, Bruce Kalish of Holland, Pa.; one brother, Seymour Wayne of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery. King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane, handled arrangements.

Roe Magness
Roe Magness, 88, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 26, 1915, in Magnes, Ark. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Hermoine; four daughters, Mary McDonald of Reno and Katherine Madding, Virginia Magness and Brenda Bice, all of California; one stepson, Dennis Barnes of Tennessee; seven grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Ralph Olivas
Ralph Olivas, 21, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 3, 1982, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for 15 years, he was a 2001 graduate of Cimarron-Memorial High School, was attending his second year at UNLV and was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu.
He is survived by his father, Ralph Gay Sr. of Santa Ana, Calif.; his mother and stepfather, Lorena Olivas and Steven Lee, both of North Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Ely and Raul Olivas Sr. of El Paso.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive.

Kathleen Peppers
Kathleen Peppers, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 9, 1953, in Alabama. A resident for six years, she was a nurse's aide.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil; two sons, Nicholas and Matthew Collins; his father, Harry Davenport; two brothers, Greg and Bill Davenport; one stepsister, Vicky Kems; and three grandchildren.

Max Vernon Roach
Max Vernon Roach, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1926, in Proctor, Colo. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired operating engineer in the excavating industry, a World War II veteran of the Merchant Marines, a member of Odd Fellows in Lyons, Colo., and a member of Operating Engineers Local 9 in Denver for 56 years and a charter member and club president of the Bailey Mountain Lions Club, Bailey, Colo.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma F.; two daughters, Linda L. Wilcock of Henderson and Denise Roach of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Haskell Robins, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 17, 1922, in Dorchester, Mass. A retired Navy commander, he was a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife; and three children.

John G. Simon
John G. Simon, 42, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1961, in Michigan. A resident for 29 years, he was a service technician.
He is survived by three daughters, Joy, Susan and Alicia Simon, and two brothers, J.C. Simon and Robert Simon, all of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Cemetery.
Margaret L. Sobin
Margaret L. Sobin, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 29, 1930, in Spring Valley, Ill. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald L.; one daughter, Debbie Chiaventone of Normal, Ill.; and one son, David Sobin of Houston.

Santa Virzi
Santa Virzi, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Nov. 4, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 13 years, she was a seamstress for the entertainment industry.
She is survived by one son, Tom Virzi of Henderson; one daughter, Connie Quitoni of Pahrump; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Farmingdale, N.Y.
