Developers announced plans Tuesday for a 500,000-square-foot shopping plaza, Oasis Flamingo Centre, in the western Las Vegas Valley.
The $50 million center is planned for just outside of Summerlin at the southeast corner of Flamingo Road and Grand Canyon Drive.
The center's first restaurant, Joe's Crab Shack, is scheduled to open later this year. The center is being developed by California-based World Premier Investments and locally based Pacific Southwest Development.
The center will include restaurants with outdoor dining, a medical center, athletic club, fast food and retail stores. The center will be under a tent structure, similar to the one that covers the Las Vegas Premium Outlets in downtown Las Vegas.
