Remigio R. Aguilar Jr.

Remigio R. Aguilar Jr., 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1936, in Pangasinan, Philippines. A resident for five years, he was a retired state government maintenance worker.

He is survived by his wife, Lucrecia; one daughter, Grace Rosana of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Hilarion B. 'Larry' Ancheta

Hilarion B. "Larry" Ancheta, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 21, 1938, in the Philippines. A resident for three years, he was a hospital housekeeping aide.

He is survived by his wife, Julia M.; one daughter, Bernadette Ancheta of Singapore; three sons, Jupiter Ancheta and Augusto Ancheta, both of Las Vegas, and Ryan Ancheta of Daly City, Calif.; his mother, Francisca B. Antonio of the Philippines; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday with a 6 p.m. vigil in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park.

Albert Auslander

Albert Auslander, 88, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 14, 1916, in Maywood, Ill. A resident for 23 years, he was a vice president and general manager of a jewelry firm and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Judith Auslander of Eugene, Ore., and Deborah Sasser of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Shelley Berkley of Las Vegas and Wendy Fleming of Encino, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be noon Sunday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Graveside services will be in Los Angeles.

Gladys D. Beale

Gladys D. Beale, 81, of LaHabra, Calif., died May 12 in a local care center. She was born Sept. 18, 1922, in Twin Falls, Idaho. A resident for 45 years, she was a French teacher, attended Woodbury College and University of Nevada, Reno prior to receiving her bachelor of arts degree from Nevada Southern University (UNLV). She was a World War II Marine Corps veteran who served from 1944 to 1958.

She is survived by one brother, Bill DeKlotz of Canoga Park, Calif.

No local services are scheduled. The Marine Corps will provide ceremonial graveside services at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif. Accord Services, Brea, Calif., handled arrangements.

Herbert E. Blair

Herbert E. Blair, 70, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 24, 1933, in Worcester, Mass. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired hotel shipping and receiving clerk, a Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; two daughters, Margaret Blouin and Therese Blair, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Blair of Burlington, N.C.; two sisters, Patricia McGee of Douglas, Mass., and Frances Brunell of Warwick, R.I.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Friday in St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Joanne R. Cienfuegos

Joanne R. Cienfuegos, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 22, 1932, in Exeter, Calif. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; two daughters, Helen Stephanie Carter of Hacienda Heights, Calif., and Felecia Bashor of Okinawa, Japan; one son, Frank Fritz of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Chapel, 7175 W. Oquendo Road.

June Katherine Eden

June Katherine Eden, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 27, 1921, in Chicago. A resident for seven years, she was a retired schoolteacher.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn; two daughters, Pamela June Hall of Willis, Texas, and Carla Jean Mars of New Mexico; and three grandchildren.

Wendyl A. Friberg

Wendyl A. Friberg, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A federal government inspector and a Navy veteran, he was born April 27, 1921, in Barre, Vt.

He is survived by his wife, Marion L.; one daughter, Karen Sutherland of Modesto, Calif.; two sons, Stephen Friberg of Reno and Gary Friberg of Camas, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Henry Gregoire

Henry Gregoire, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 30, 1949, in Hartford, Conn. A resident for 24 years, he was a slots ambassador and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Drake of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in Palm Chapel, Main.

Emilia E. Hester-Heuett

Emilia E. Hester-Heuett, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 1, 1923, in California. A resident for three years, she was a retired grocery store meat wrapper.

She is survived by one son, John Hester of Las Vegas; one brother, Arthur Bovero of Los Angeles; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.

Robert A. Jacob

Robert A. Jacob, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 15, 1937, in Louisiana.

He is survived by one daughter, Bobilyn Jacob of Arizona.

Charles M. Johnson

Charles M. Johnson, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 18, 1927, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired security supervisor at Nellis Air Force Base, Coast Guard veteran and a member of Silver City Scramblers.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; one two sons, Skip and Rick Johnson; and four grandchildren.

Philip Lombardo

Philip Lombardo, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 10, 1914, in Dunkirk, N.Y. A resident for nine years, he was a retired machinist in the aerospace industry and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy; four children; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 5 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Helen Y. Matsumoto, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 6, 1918, in California. A resident for 21 years, she was a nanny.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Sr.

Peter Moroz

Peter Moroz, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 26, 1925, in East Douglas, Mass. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired maitre d' and a World War II and Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy; two daughters, Linda Maneen of Bloomington, Ill., and Lori Moroz-White of Las Vegas; two sons, Peter J. Moroz and Paul Moroz, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Frank Moroz of Syracuse, N.Y.; two sisters, Anne Jacobs of Las Vegas and Margaret Meagley of Ocala, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Jane Morris

Jane Morris, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A retired activity director for an assisted living center, she was born Nov. 29, 1944, in Colorado.

She is survived by two daughters, Lorrie Riggle of Riverside, Calif., and Sabrina Jackson of White Bear Lake, Minn.; one brother, Kenneth Kirpatrick of Las Vegas; one sister, Patricia Kirpatrick of Yucaipa, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 2 p.m. service Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Marion Elaine Paterson

Marion Elaine Paterson, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. A music teacher and a member of Bridge Club of Las Vegas, she was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Canada.

She is survived by one son, Dean Paterson; one daughter, Francis Paterson; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

John L. Scott Jr.

John L. Scott Jr., 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born March 28, 1936, in Alto, La. A resident for 34 years, he was a retired hotel dishwasher and a former member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Wilkins of North Las Vegas and Darlene Scott of Chicago; one son, Michael Scott of California; two sisters, Rosie M. Williams of Las Vegas and Gloria A. Rice of North Las Vegas; three brothers, Dennis Amphy Jr. of San Bernardino, Calif., and Harmon Amphy of North Las Vegas and Bobby Amphy of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

William Austin Sears

William Austin Sears, 77, of Henderson died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Tennessee. A resident for 37 years, he was an Army and Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons, Duquesne Andreas Sears and Brenda Diaz, both of Henderson; one son, William A. Sears Jr.; four daughters, Tracy Sears of Henderson, Terry Sears of Pahrump, Vicki Johnson of Washington state and Donna Jo Bonan of Tennessee; 22 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Thursday at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 975 American Pacific Drive, Henderson. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Raymond C. Taylor

Raymond C. Taylor, 94, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 11, 1910, in California. A resident for five years, he was a retired boat builder and a member of the Carpenters Union for 60 years.

He is survived by one son, Robert James Taylor; two daughters, Karen Rae Hazard and Jerilyn Claire Clausi; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
