Anastacio R. Alvarez Sr.
Anastacio R. Alvarez Sr., 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 27, 1944, in Hayward, Calif. A resident for one year, he was a retired security officer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Davina Richardson and Jean-Nate Churchill, and one son, Rudy Alvarez, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Richard Alvarez, Lawrence Alvarez and Alonzo Alvarez, and one sister, Olga Alvarez, all of California; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
William Harvey Barnes
William Harvey Barnes, 88, of San Antonio died Saturday in San Antonio. He was born June 3, 1915, in Meridian, Texas. A former Las Vegas resident, most recently he was employeed at Payless Cashways for 16 years, worked at Alford's Refrigerated Warehouse in Dallas, was a cowboy in Colorado and a World War II Navy veteran who served in the Pacific Theater on the USS Lassen.
He is survived by one daughter, Barbara; two sons, Gary and Bruce; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Home, Fort Worth, Texas, is handling arrangements.
Howard Doulder
Howard Doulder, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 7, 1923, in Milwaukee. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired government forensic examiner and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; one daughter, Sandra Byrnes of Forest Park, Ill.; three sons, Howard E. Doulder, Daryl Doulder and Dennis Doulder, all of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Kristine Lorett Fannin
Kristine Lorett Fannin, 18, of Henderson died Sunday. She was born March 1, 1986, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, she was a 2004 graduate of the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts.
She is survived by her mother, Donna Maria Fannin of Henderson; her father and stepmother, Kenneth Edward and Carmen Fannin of Henderson; one brother, Jonathan Fannin of Henderson; one stepbrother, Jory Negrete, one stepsister, Alyx Battaglia, and her grandparents, Don and Loretta Grossi, all of Las Vegas; and her godmother and aunt, Antoinette Harako of Simi Valley, Calif.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Thursday in Faith Christian Community Church, 1100 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Faith Christian Community Church. Burial will follow in Boulder City Cemetery. Boulder City. Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, is handling arrangements.

Samuel George
Samuel George, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 15, 1928 in Alliance, Ohio. A resident for many years, he was a golf caddy and World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his companion, Ruth Mangano of Las Vegas; two sons, Scott George and Sam George, both of Simi Valley, Calif.; and one daughter, Theresa George of San Diego.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled private arrangements.
Norma I. Gersten
Norma I. Gersten, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 7, 1921, in California. A resident for 51 years, she was a retired retail sales clerk and a member of the Sun City Sewing Club.
She is survived by two sons, John Corcoran and Tom Corcoran; one daughter, JoAnn Roberts; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Felton G. Hadnot
Felton G. Hadnot, 93, of Boulder City died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 23, 1910, in Oakdale, La. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired automobile supplier, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Masons for 56 years.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva E.; one son, Douglas Hadnot of Missoula, Mont.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is private. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church, 850 Avenue B, Boulder City. Graveside services will follow at noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Richard A. Parker
Richard A. Parker, 59, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 8, 1944, in Klamath Falls, Ore. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired North Las Vegas Police officer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Penny Clemetson of Snohomish, Wash.; one son, Richard A. Parker Jr. of Loma Linda, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling private arrangements.
Willie R. Phillips
Willie R. Phillips, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 31, 1940, in San Antonio. A resident for 49 years, he was a warehouse worker for a delivery service.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly M.; one daughter, Amberlynn Phillips, and one son, Jason Phillips, both of North Las Vegas; and one brother, Edward McGowan of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Charles Young
Charles Young, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Minnesota. A resident for six years, he was a retired finance executive for a loan company and an Army veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Kirk Young, Randy Young and Craig Young; two daughters, Vicki Haviland and Heather Young; one sister, Ann; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
