Letter: Abuse is product of sick culture

I for one wasn't surprised by what happened at the Iraqi prison Abu Ghraib. Those American jailers are a product of a sick American society, which has a twisted pornographic view of sex.
As for the suspected jailers' families who are interviewed on our television stations, they would do well to say nothing and hang their heads in shame.
After Saddam Hussein is executed we should under the cloak of darkness leave Iraq. We have no right to be in a country that has religious beliefs that far surpass what we will ever have in this country. We are too busy in our pursuit of self-gratification to see beyond our moral decay.
