Letter: Do not excuse Clinton’s lies

This letter is in reference to the May 18 editorial cartoon by the Sun's Mike Smith, which asked, "Remember when all we had to worry about was the president's sex life?"

Bill Clinton was not impeached for his "sex life." He was impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice. Clinton's pathological lying didn't end with his sex life either. Not by a long shot. Remember that his campaign promise was to give Americans a tax cut. He made himself a liar, for which President George H.W. Bush was denied a second term.

Clinton lied about shrinking government too: "I say again, the era of big government is over." Lying liberals excused Clinton's lies by saying "everybody does it" and "he's so intelligent."

When a liberal lies, it's "intelligent." When a "neocon" lies, it's reprehensible.
