Daellenbach named new testing chief

Sue Daellenbach, former principal of Foothill High School, has been named the new director of testing for the Clark County School District.

A 19-year veteran of the district, Daellenbach was principal of Foothill from 2002 until February of this year when she was promoted to assistant regional superintendent for the southeast region. Daellenbach is expected to begin her new duties Monday, said Karlene McCormick-Lee, assistant superintendent of research and accountability for the district.

As the district's test director Daellenbach's base pay will be $99,156, the same salary she earns as an assistant regional superintendent. She will be responsible for overseeing administration and security for standardized tests and will also compile results for determining what schools have satisfied the "Adequate Yearly Progress" demands of the No Child Left Behind Act.

Daellenbach replaces Judy Costa, who retired as test director last year.
