Letter: Bush responsible for prison abuse
Friday, May 14, 2004 | 8:54 a.m.
The responsibility for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners lies not just with Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld but also with the commander in chief.
President Bush should be held accountable for sending poorly prepared young men and women to a war that was a choice, not a necessity.
This torture and abuse have only added fuel to the hatred for America by the Arab world. How many more terrorists will Osama bin Laden now be able to recruit because of these pictures sent around the world?
We need to have a regime change of our own. Let's put John Kerry in the Oval Office. He can lead America in the right direction.
