Unity Festival
The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services will sponsor the 12th annual Unity Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St. Admission is free. 229-6374.
Fun run/walk
The Candlelighters will host a 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk beginning at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at Paseo Verde Park, 1851 Paseo Verde Parkway. To register, call 737-1919 or go online at www.active.com.
Reggae Festival
The Cannery Casino & Hotel will host the "One Love Reggae Fest" on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $20 or $15 in advance, and activities include an international food and craft fair and musical acts. 617-5550 or www.showtickets.com.

To celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is holding the following events at libraries throughout the valley:
7 p.m. today -- Martial Arts Festival, featuring students from local martial arts schools, Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive.
2 p.m. Saturday -- Asian Cinefest, Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
2 p.m. Sunday -- Asian Cinefest, West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd.
7 p.m. Monday -- "Something Strong Within," a video presentation, at Whitney Library, 5175 E. Tropicana Ave.
6:30 p.m. Tuesday -- Feng shui master Lin Huang will give tips on how to achieve balance and harmony at West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd.
4 p.m. Tuesday -- Origami workshop, Spring Valley Library, 4280 S. Jones Blvd.
11 a.m. Saturday -- Puppet show, Moapa Valley Library, 350 N. Moapa Valley Blvd.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors," a Korean folk tale -- Presented at the following times and locations:
4 p.m. Wednesday -- Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive.
4 p.m. Thursday -- West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
7 p.m. Thursday -- Enterprise Library, 25 E. Shelbourne Ave.
Day of Adventure
Bring the family downtown for a day of adventure from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free for the Lied Discovery Children's Museum, Las Vegas Natural History Museum, Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Park, Reed Whipple Cultural Center, Neon Museum and Las Vegas Library. 229-1237.
Acting classes
Clark County Parks & Community Services is offering free acting classes from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. every Wednesday at Whitney Center, 5712 E. Missouri Ave. Pre-registration is requested. 455-7576.
