A 37-year-old man was arrested last week after he allegedly arranged to meet a 12-year-old girl he contacted on the Internet.
Glen Patrick Bonner remained in the Clark County Detention Center Wednesday. His bail was set at $750,000.
According to the police report, the girl's mother had retrieved her daughter's Internet chat transcripts via a filtering software program and saw that her daughter had discussed meeting with a man on May 6.
Metro Police went to the girl's house and directed her to contact Bonner via an instant message system to finalize a specific time and place to meet, the report says.
The girl had initially told Bonner she was 18, but before their meeting she told him she was 14. The report says the girl didn't want to give her real age because she was afraid Bonner would be able to find her at school.
Bonner's answer to her being under 18 was "I don't care," adding that she seemed to be experienced at partying and sex, the report says.
When Bonner arrived at the designated meeting spot, a church in west Las Vegas, he was arrested on charges of using technology to lure a child, attempted sexual assault of a victim under 16 and attempted kidnapping.
Police said they didn't know what Bonner's occupation is, if he has one.
