Cancer Society has memorial plan
Thursday, May 13, 2004 | 8:14 a.m.
The American Cancer Society is encouraging the community to pay tribute to a friend or loved one on Memorial Day by making a donation in the person's memory.
Donations can also be made in honor of someone who has made a tremendous difference in a person's life.
The American Cancer Society's Memorial program is year round. Memorial donations support the organization's mission of eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.
If you would like to keep the memory of a friend or loved one alive this Memorial Day, call the American Cancer Society and make a special donation. A memorial card will be sent the day you call.
Call (800) 227-2345 to make your donation or visit www.cancer.org.
