Carole Amenhauser

Carole Amenhauser, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 4, 1938, in Lorain, Ohio. A resident for six years, she was a retired newspaper typesetter and a member of the Typographical Union.

She is survived by her significant other, Michael Albano of Las Vegas; one daughter, Michelle Meuler of Deerfield, Mass.; one son, John Amenhauser of San Diego; and four grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Edward Thomas Anderson

Edward Thomas Anderson, 42, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. A service technician for an alarm company, he was born Nov. 1, 1961, in Henderson.

He is survived by two sons, Eddy Anderson of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Jesse Anderson of Henderson; his mother, Marilyn Anderson, two brothers, Mike Anderson and Kevin Anderson, and one sister, Gina Davenport, all of Henderson.

Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Angel Avendano

Angel Avendano, 4, of Las Vegas died Monday in Mexico. He was born Jan. 23, 2000, in Mexico.

He is survived by his mother, Eulogia Avendano of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.

Gordon L. Beyers

Gordon L. Beyers, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Oklahoma. A resident for many years, he was a retired electrician.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Harold W. Bloomer

Harold W. Bloomer, 98, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Boulder City. He was born Dec. 13, 1905, in Fairmount, Ill. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired electronics engineer for the federal government, a Navy veteran, a member of the Masons, Shrine Bodies, Eastern Star, a Rainbow Girls Dad and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by one stepdaughter, Nancy Barela of Payson, Ariz.; one stepson, Robert Snow of Clear Lake, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Masonic Lodge, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Dorothy Arlene Boyd

Dorothy Arlene Boyd, 77, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 6, 1927, in Texas. A resident for many years, she was a freezer company secretary.

She is survived by two sons, Bernard Boyd of Henderson and Ray Boyd of Burbank, Calif.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Cypress, Calif. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Margaret M. Foley

Margaret M. Foley, 77, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 2, 1927, in St. Louis. A resident for 51 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony J.; three daughters, Margaret DeBrito of Long Beach, Calif., Virginia Cooper of Henderson and Barbara Foley of Las Vegas; two sons, Tony Foley Jr. of Henderson and Patrick Foley of Corrales, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Richard J. Francione

Richard J. Francione, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 31, 1958, in Texas. A resident for seven years, he was a construction worker.

He is survived by his companion, Donna Preedom; his mother, Alice Main; two brothers, Joseph Francione and Kevin Musselwhite; and two sisters, Susan Francione and Kimberly Gasperson.

Tom F. Fuhreng

Tom F. Fuhreng, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born March 23, 1926, in Bandjermasin, Indonesia. A resident for one year, he was a civil engineer.

He is survived by one son, Jeff Fuhreng, and two daughters, Brenda-Lee Fuhreng and Fran Sisk, all of Las Vegas.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Junior M. Longwell

Junior M. Longwell, 84, of Las Vegas died May 5 in Henderson. A supervisor, he was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Nebraska.

He is survived by one son, Dennis Longwell of Missouri City, Texas; three daughters, Patsy Longwell of Orange, Calif., Diana Wydell of Minnesota and Connie Wells of California; one brother, Rubin Longwell of Wyoming; two sisters, Lois Depzynski of California and Doris Williamson of Wyoming; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

William R. Mitchell

William R. Mitchell, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 7, 1928, in St. Paul, Minn. A resident for 12 years, he was an accountant at an oil company and a Korean War and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Brian Mitchell of Las Vegas and Jerry Mitchell of Pottstown, Pa.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be 10:40 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Edith C. Oliver

Edith C. Oliver, 70, of Las Vegas died May 5 in a local hospital. She was born June 3, 1933, in Englewood, N.J. A resident for three years, she was a retired chemical plant manager.

She is survived by three daughters, Gail Matthews of Las Vegas, Cheryl Young of Hammonton, N.J., and Darlyne deHaan of Galloway, N.J.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Letty C. Plana

Letty C. Plana, 56, of Las Vegas died May 2 in a local hospital. A retired casino change person, she was born Oct. 30, 1947, in Manila, Philippines.

She is survived by two daughters, Nora Dumo and Leticia Oinas, and three sons, Mel Plana, Mar Plana and Dylan Oinas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-4 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Prudencia 'Dencia' Siglos

Prudencia "Dencia" Siglos, 81, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 29, 1923, in the Philippines. A resident for four months, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters, Rose Asmussen, Purita Banate and Anita Lim, all of Henderson; four sons, David Siglos of Henderson and Jesus Siglos, Teodoro Siglos and Rodrigo Siglos, all of the Philippines; 23 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Kenneth A. Spare

Kenneth A. Spare, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born March 11, 1920, in Brockway, Pa. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired electronics engineer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, Dennis R. Spare of Vista, Calif.; two daughters, Susan J. Shaffer of Boise, Idaho, and Dawn Spare of Cambria, Calif.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
