Letter: Administration fails the military

Vice President Dick Cheney, during the 2000 campaign, said: "For eight years, Clinton and Gore have extended our military commitments, while depleting our military power. Rarely has so much been demanded of our armed forces, and so little given to them in return ... and I promise them now that help is on the way."
Here's some of that help:
Finally, how did President Bush develop that weakened Clinton/Gore military into a mean fighting force between Jan. 20, 2001, and October 2001?
He has to be some kind of a military genius.
