First Friday

Book signing

Joey Arias, the emcee of Cirque du Soleil's "Zumanity," will sign copies of his book, "The Art of Conversation," from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at New York-New York. Admission is free. 740-3205.

Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo will be celebrated from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Freedom Park, at the corner of Washington and Mojave avenues. Admission is $5, free for children. 649-1198.

Movies

The 1949 movie "Adam's Rib" will be shown at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, as part of Clark County Parks and Recreation Services' "Wonder Women" film series. Admission is $3. 455-7340.

Anniversary
