Jerry Franklin Butler Jr.

Jerry Franklin Butler Jr., 38, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 10, 1965, in Key West, Fla. A resident for nine years, he was a delivery driver for a furniture company and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; two sons, Kyle Butler of Redondo Beach, Calif., and John Butler of Las Vegas; his father, Jerry Franklin Butler Sr. of Key West; his mother, Freddie Ward, and one sister, Monica Clark, both of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Doris Smith and Jeremiah Butler, both of Key West, and Naomi Harrison of Jacksonville, Fla.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Emitt Charles Craighead

Emitt Charles Craighead, 76, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born March 26, 1928, in Waukegan, Ill. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired computer programmer and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Gloria Lodge of Las Vegas and Catherine Jacobs of Lodi, Calif.; two sons, Thomas Craighead of Las Vegas and Charles Craighead of Sand Springs, Okla.; one sister, Norma of Baltimore; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11:20 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.

Donations are requested for the Parkinson's Foundation.

Douglas Edward Delozier Jr.

Douglas Edward Delozier Jr., 29, of Las Vegas died April 29 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 5, 1974, in Columbus, Ohio. A resident for 25 years, he was a laborer in the automobile industry.

He is survived by one son, Chase Douglas Delozier; his parents, Brenda and Douglas Delozier Sr. of Las Vegas; one sister, Danielle Rastifard; his fiancee, Trina Witek; and his grandparents.

A memorial service will be noon Friday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Burl Ray Dyer

Burl Ray Dyer, 66, of Pahrump died April 24. He was born Nov. 7, 1937, in Pahrump. A resident for 15 years, he was a 21 dealer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Rick Dyer; one sister, Delena Mae Robertson; and two grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Flossie J. Greathouse

Flossie J. Greathouse, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 5, 1939, in Indiana. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired bartender.

She is survived by her companion, Richard Kutz; four sons, Allen Roach, Terry Roach, David Roach and Quinton "Dale" Roach; three daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Davis, Sierra "Sue" Caine and Sherry Ball; three brothers, Freddie Darling, Ivan Darling and Richard Darling; one sister, Amanda Nattinger; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.

Louis A. Guerra

Louis A. Guerra, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A produce company proprietor, he was born July 30, 1929, in New York City.

He is survived by his wife, Arline; and one daughter, Lucy Guerra of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New York state. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Frank Hester

Frank Hester, 55, of Las Vegas died April 27 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 27, 1948, in Hughes, Ark. A resident for 22 years, he was a construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; one son, Farrell Hester of Las Vegas; one daughter, Alicia Hester of Memphis, Tenn.; nine brothers, Douglas Hester of Missouri, Clarence Hester and Lonnie Hester, both of Ohio, Roosevelt Hester, Will Clay Hester and Bedford Ray Hester, all of Iowa, Robert Hester and Charles Hester, both of Arkansas, and James Robert of Tennessee; four sisters, Louise Brown, Betty Kimbrough and Carolyn Hester, all of Ohio, and Brenda Kidd of Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Raymond McKinley Jackson

Raymond McKinley Jackson, 56, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 27, 1947, in California. A resident for nine years, he was a musician.

He is survived by one brother, Richard Jackson of California; and one sister, Loretta Lee of Las Vegas. No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Bertha E. Jurisich

Bertha E. Jurisich, 96, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 10, 1907, in Shattuck, Okla. A resident for 63 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one cousin, Barbara MacPhee of Locust Grove, Va.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

The family suggests donations to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Parkway, Memphis, TN 38105.

Jo Lynn

Jo Lynn, 75, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 25 years, she was a candy packer at a chocolate factory.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; four daughters, Phyllis Hocker of Cedar City, Utah, and Cindi Pulaski, Michele Hutt and Bobbie Russo, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Guardino of Pittsburgh; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Steve Madosik Jr.

Steve Madosik Jr., 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 23, 1920, in Duncanwood, Ohio. A resident for many years, he was a hydrographer and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Steve Madosik III of Carriere, Miss., Lawrence R. Madosik of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mark B. Madosik of Pahrump; one daughter, Mary Y. Hammann of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Entombment will follow in Eden Vale Mausoleum.

Donations are requested for Alzheimer's research.

Ethel F. Montgomery

Ethel F. Montgomery, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born March 10, 1923, in Maui, Hawaii. A resident for 16 years, she was a registered nurse.

She is survived by three daughters, Gayle M. Radke of Las Vegas, Laurie M. Bornstein of Lawrence, Kan., and Melanie Turner of Eugene, Ore.; two sons, Gary Montgomery of Olympia, Wash., and Stuart Montgomery of Tigard, Ore.; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the LDS Smoke Ranch chapel, 7401 W. Smoke Ranch Road. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Letty C. Plana

Letty C. Plana, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A retired casino change person, she was born Oct. 30, 1947, in Manila, Philippines.

She is survived by two daughters, Nora Dumo and Leticia Oinas, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Mel Plana and Mar Plana, both of Las Vegas, and Dylan Oinas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled noon-4 p.m. today in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Eufrasia H. (Kaiser) Rivera

Eufrasia H. (Kaiser) Rivera, 70, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 13, 1934, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a retired office clerk for Mission Linen Supply Co.

She is survived by one daughter, Margarita Rivera of Las Vegas; threesisters, Ralpheta Rivero of North Las Vegas, David Garlington of Las Vegas and Frances D. Turgeon of Somerset, Mass.; four brothers, Tony Rivera of North Las Vegas and William Rivera, Joe A. Rivera and Peter Rivera, of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue unit 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Betty Robson

Betty Robson, 52, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 19, 1952, in Valentine, Neb. A resident for 18 years, she was a medical office manager.

She is survived by her husband, Mike; one daughter, Misty Knight of Henderson; two sons, Heath Robson of Mesa, Ariz., and Cory Robson of Henderson; her parents, Ione and Neal Swearingen of Smithland, Iowa; two sisters, Beth Anne Baker of Sanborne, Iowa, and Dona Swearingen of Sioux City, Iowa; three brothers, Boyd Swearingen of Smithland, Bill Swearingen of Wheeping Water, Kan., and Wayne Swearingen of Mapleton, Iowa; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Luisa V. Salvador-Cruz

Luisa V. Salvador-Cruz, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 23, 1933, in the Philippines. A resident for 19 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Angelica Rodriguez of Pico Rivera, Calif., and Grace Basilio of Las Vegas; one son, Ferdinand Cruz of the Philippines; seven brothers, Edward Gomez, Lou Salvador Jr. and Jumbo Salvador, all of Las Vegas, and Rosauro Salvador, Ramon Salvador, Philip Salvador and Rene Hawkins, all of the Philippines; two sisters, Chona Salvador and Alona Salvador, both of the Philippines; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 1-1:30 p.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive.

Aurora Rodriquez Santiago

Aurora Rodriquez Santiago, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday at Lake Mead. She was born May 20, 1930, in Puerto Rico. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker

She is survived by four sons, Angel F. Catala, Hector Catala, Willie Aviles and Antonio Aviles; three daughters, Isla Carreon, Janet Catala and Angela Rodriquez; 24 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Helen Seiver

Helen Seiver, 84, of Northridge, Calif., died Tuesday in a local convalescent center. She was born Oct. 16, 1919, in Minneapolis. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired parts inspector in the aerospace industry and a member of City of Hope.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Safdeye of Northridge, Calif.; one son, Owen Seiver of Santa Clarita, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Sunday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in King David Cemetery.

Geneva Frances Young

Geneva Frances Young, 89, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 6, 1914, in Chelsea, Okla. A resident for 34 years, she was a secretary.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 43 W. Pacific Ave., Henderson, NV 89009.
