Two airlines serving McCarran International Airport will add flights this summer, including new service to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Islip, N.Y.
Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air will fly four times a week to and from Cedar Rapids, whose Eastern Iowa Airport also serves the communities of Iowa City, Coralville, Waterloo, Dubuque, Clinton and Davenport.
Meanwhile, Southwest Airlines, the busiest commercial passenger carrier serving McCarran, plans to add three new Las Vegas flights when the Dallas-based carrier expands its Boeing 737 jet fleet in August.
Southwest plans to add daily single nonstop round trips between McCarran and Cleveland, Islip's MacArthur Airport on Long Island and Orange County, Calif.
The Cleveland and Islip flights are the first daily nonstop Southwest flights to and from those cities and Las Vegas. The Orange County flight is the fourth daily operation between the two cities.
