Letter: Water deserves more coverage

Your April 23 front-page story was headlined, "Ex-officials: EOB rife with infighting." A few weeks ago, you devoted over a full page to "The $2.1 million question at EOB."
With more than 30 funding sources, EOB probably has a more complex accounting system than UNLV. Any large organization occasionally has infighting and accounting problems.
Meanwhile, local water entities are working to resurrect water pipelines, which they estimated in 1991 would cost about $2.1 billion. This public works project could be the largest in the history of the state. Doesn't this project merit 1,000 times as much scrutiny as EOB?
