Dexter Brengel
Dexter Brengel, 95, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born June 26, 1908, in New York City. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired electrical contractor, a World War II and Korean War Army veteran, a member of the American Legion and Spirit of Freedom Lodge Post 76.
He is survived by his wife, Rita H.; two sons, D. Theodore Brengel of San Diego and Robert T. Brengel of North Branch, Mich.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119, or Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4601 W. Lake Mead Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89108.
Dorothy Delores Brooks
Dorothy Delores Brooks, 78, of Los Angeles and Las Vegas died Thursday in Los Angeles. A homemaker, she was born Dec. 18, 1925, in New York City.
She is survived by her husband, Eddie, and one daughter, Carol Hamilton of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Graveside services will be in Inglewood, Calif. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Robert W. Burke
Robert W. Burke, 55, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 15, 1949, in Boston. A resident for one year, he was a retired Air Force technical sergeant and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by two sisters, Carol B. Grant of San Diego and Susan B. Richart of Chewelah, Wash.; and two brothers, James P. Burke of Diamond Bar, Calif., and Paul F. Burke of Waianae, Hawaii.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Jimmy Gene Hagaman
Jimmy Gene Hagaman, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 1, 1922, in Cleveland, Okla. A resident for eight years, he was a retired insurance estimator, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Zelzah Temple and Summerlin Shrine.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Noone Hagaman; three daughters, Sandra Dawson of Malibu, Calif., Paula Bronson of La Quinta, Calif., and Susan Crum of San Pedro, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is private. Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. A private burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to Shriners Children's Hospital, Zelzah Shrine Temple, 2222 W. Mesquite Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106.
Robert Wayne Hudspeth
Robert Wayne Hudspeth, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1937, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired television salesman and repairman.
He is survived by his wife, Frances E.; two daughters, Lori Taylor of Ashland, Ore., and Karen Aulwurm of Concord, Calif.; one son, Bob Hudspeth of Torrance, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to Diabetic Neuropathy Association Inc., 60 E. 42 St., Suite 942, New York City, NY 10165.
Audrey Lee Langston
Audrey Lee Langston, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born July 9, 1924, in Halley, Ark. A resident for 57 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.
She is survived by three sons, Clardy Wright of Seattle and Tony Wright and Thomas Wright, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Bernie Mills, Cheryl Wright and Lovnne Wright, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Ora Lee Palmer of Las Vegas; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas and Jones. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Quai Quang Ly
Quai Quang Ly, 81, of Las Vegas died April 25 in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 22, 1922, in Canton, China. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired jeweler.
He is survived by two daughters, Tanne Chew and Nhu Ly Kwok, and one son, Jason Lee, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is private. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Mary E. Milender
Mary E. Milender, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for 31 years, she was born Sept. 18, 1936, in Ellenburg, N.Y.
She is survived by one son, Ray Wood, and one daughter, Lisa Beairsto, both of Las Vegas; four brothers, Lester Duval, Paul Duval and Jim Duval, all of New York, and Bill Duval of Little River, S.C.; two sisters, Martha Jones of Connecticut and Gemma Wills of Florida; and seven grandchildren.
Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Ronald L. Pruitt
Ronald L. Pruitt, 55, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A maintenance man for a commercial building, he was born June 10, 1948, in New Orleans.
He is survived by two brothers, Gerald Pruitt of Las Vegas and Steve Pruitt; and four sisters, Sharon Farley of Hot Springs, Ark., and Holly Kerns, Peggy Pruitt and Mindy Reinhardt.
A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
