Reina M. Aleman

Reina M. Aleman, 76, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 10, 1928, in Vueltas, Cuba. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Maria Suarez of Las Vegas; one son, Edward Aleman of Pahrump; two sisters, Rosa Rodriguez of Cuba and Regina Polledo of Pahrump; one brother, Rigo Rodriguez of Cuba; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park.

Mary Bradford

Mary Bradford, 81, of North Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. She was born June 22, 1922, in Louisiana. A resident for 39 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by three daughters, Willie Dean Feazell and Anglice Feazell, both of Las Vegas, and Meata Feazell of Seattle; one son, Scottie Wilson of Las Vegas; two brothers, Azraih Patterson of Las Vegas and Samuel Patterson of Los Angeles; six sisters, Ova Dagley, Louise Williams and Margaret Williams, all of Los Angeles, Elsie Culverson and Ernestine Feazell, both of Las Vegas, and Leoma Chambers of Michigan; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Grace Immanuel Baptist Church, 805 W. Bartlett Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Luis Alfonso Garcia-Beltran

Luis Alfonso Garcia-Beltran, 19, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 22, 1985, in Autan, Nayarit, Mexico. A resident for six years, he was a laborer.

He is survived by his father, Ci Priano Garcia-Haro, his mother, Luz Marie Beltran-Rios, three brothers, Vincente Garcia-Beltran, Jose Manuel Garcia-Beltran and Erick Ci Priano Garcia-Beltran, and one sister, Celsa Andrea Garcia-Beltran, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Adoleo Garcia-Rosriquez, Agustina Haro-Silva, and Celsa Rios-Cordero, all of Mexico.

Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m.-midnight Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Bay Kaeo

Bay Kaeo, 75, of Las Vegas died March 19 in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 5, 1928, in Saigon, Vietnam. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; and two daughters, Thu Solis and Xuan Rodriguez.

Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling private arrangements.

Jim Lewis

Jim Lewis, 63, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born March 25, 1941, in Mullins, S.C. A resident for 33 years, he owned and operated a pest control business.

He is survived by his wife, Alma; two daughters, Lisa Marie Lewis of Kentucky and Leslie Lewis of Las Vegas; three sons, Jose Castro, Elvis Lewis and Aaron Lewis, and one brother, Sam Lewis, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Tina Bailey of Travelers Rest, S.C., and Mary Grantham and Joyce O'Neal, both of Nashville, Tenn.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Ira H. Lindsey

Ira H. Lindsey, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 9, 1930, in Mobile, Ala. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine; two sons, Christopher Lindsey of Las Vegas and Richard William "Bill" Lindsey of Reno; his mother, Talitha Lindsey, and one sister, Kathryn Quickel, both of Panama City, Fla.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Milton Michael Sant

Milton Michael Sant, 40, of Henderson died Friday in Amargosa Valley. He was born March 24, 1964, in Henderson. A lifelong resident, he was a truck driver, a 1982 Basic High School graduate where he played tennis, soccer and softball.

He is survived by his father, Milton Clifford "Bud" Sant Jr. of Las Vegas; his mother, Karen Sant, and one sister, Alison DeLynn Sant, both of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Thursday in the Mission Hills LDS chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Thursday in Panaca Cemetery.

Jimmy N. Schunior

Jimmy N. Schunior, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 27, 1935, in Corpus Christi, Texas. A resident for 14 years, he was a maintenance engineer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Irma; two sons, Roberto Schunior of Las Cruces, N.M., and Alberto Schunior of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Maria Schunior of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Carriage House. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Elsie P. Sendlein

Elsie P. Sendlein, 87, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1916. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired waitress, a St. Rose Dominican Hospital Rose de Lima campus volunteer and a former member of the Culinary Union for more than 30 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Schneider of Las Vegas; two sons, Rupert H. Sendlein and Stephen T. Sendlein, and one sister, Georgia Yeoman, all of Henderson; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be 6 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

James Taylor Sheffield Jr.

James Taylor Sheffield Jr., 23, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 30, 1980, in Riverside, Calif. A resident for two years, he was a cook.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley; one son, James L. Sheffield; his mother, Laurie Sween; his father, Larry Streetman; one brother, Gene Davis; and two sisters, Charlene Bachart and Debra Sween.

Maurice Shantell Slack

Maurice Shantell Slack, 30, of Las Vegas died March 23 in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 12, 1973, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a cook at the Las Vegas Detention Center.

He is survived by his mother, Deloris Gibson of North Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Thurston and Jessie Slack of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Wednesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Four Gospel Temple of Jesus Christ. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Leila Thomas

Leila Thomas, 75, of Las Vegas died March 22 in Las Vegas. She was born July 9, 1928, in Thatcher, Idaho. A resident for five months, she was a hairdresser.

She is survived by her husband, William J.; and one sister, Roberta Hankinson of New Bern, N.C.

Katharine Vernon

Katharine Vernon, 73, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. A resident for seven years, she was born April 7, 1930, in Chicago.

She is survived by her husband, Russel; three daughters, Mary K. Vernon, Nancy V. Marino and Lori Maag; one son, James Vernon; two sisters, Constance Avildsen and Jacqueline Huhta; and seven grandchildren.

Alice Mae Wilson

Alice Mae Wilson, 82, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 26, 1921, in Alexandria, La. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons; two daughters; three sisters; one brother; and 40 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Friday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.

Jeff Witten

Jeff Witten, 46, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 26, 1957, in California. A resident for 26 years, he was a carpenter foreman.

He is survived by one daughter, Heidi Witten of Polk City, Fla.; one son, Jonathan of Las Vegas; his parents, Joe and Betty Jo Allen of California; and one grandchild.

Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Edward Zarachowicz

Edward Zarachowicz, 81, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 6, 1922, in Cleveland. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired gambling school owner-operator, a World War II Army veteran and a Purple Heart recipient.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda Doremus of Henderson; one son, Mark Zarachowicz, and one brother, Mark Edward Zarachowicz, both of Chardon, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
