Letter: Las Vegas zoo is absurd idea
Thursday, March 25, 2004 | 9:26 a.m.
We should do whatever we can to help prevent a zoo from being located in Las Vegas. Did anybody think of the animals when they came up with this absurd idea? It is well over 100 degrees every day here in the summer.
Let's instead have a lovely hotel-like setting, with viewing rooms that have huge screens showing video images of all the magnificent animals of the world -- in the their homelands, in their habitats, where they live naturally.
No more bars and chains to keep animals still while humans idly walk by, eating cotton candy, chomping on popcorn and guzzling soda pop.
