Joseph F. Aliseo
Joseph F. Aliseo, 84, of Henderson died Sunday. He was born March 20, 1920, in Palermo, Italy. He was a retired tool and die maker, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post 1323 and FAM 854.
He is survived by two daughters, Grace Aliseo-Abel and Rosemarie Frawley, and one son, Joseph Andrew Aliseo, all of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service Wednesday at Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Henry J. Borutka
Henry J. Borutka, 86, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 22, 1917, in Chicago. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired accountant in the shoe industry.
He is survived by one niece, Lola Vucinic of Homer Glen, Ill.
Visitation is scheduled 1-6 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Sheila Cole
Sheila Cole, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Cairo, Egypt. A resident for three months, she was a dietician.
She is survived by three sons, Daniel Cole, Dennis Cole and Billy Cole; two daughters, Deadra Stickney and Avis Latone; one brother, Thomas Grossett of the United Kingdom; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Clarinda Frieda Frederiksen
Clarinda Frieda Frederiksen, 95, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 29, 1908, in Racine, Wis. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Joan Lui of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Silvina Hood
Silvina Hood, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 5, 1927, in Butuan City, Philippines. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Carlyle; two sons, Robert R. Hood and Carl E. Hood, both of Auburn, Wash.; one daughter, Margie J. Pearson of Las Vegas; three brothers, Josefino Balla and Balodoy Balla, both of the Philippines, and Fernando Balla of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Marcella Balla and Maritta Doce, both of the Philippines; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Kiki Nissen
Kiki Nissen, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 27, 1931, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, she was a nurse.
She is survived by one son, Danny Nissen, Michelle Nissen-Stephens and Jill Pracitto, all of Henderson; two sisters, Eileen Lefari and Madeline Halpern, both of Florida; and seven grandchildren.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.
Zarine Pearson
Zarine Pearson, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired cosmetologist.
She is survived by one daughter, Dana Z. Brewer of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
June Wolftongue
June Wolftongue, 62, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born June 13, 1941, in Concho, Okla. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
