Some people state that because the reigning Spanish regime was ousted after the terrible terrorist attacks, the terrorists have won. I see it a different way.

If Bush and company had devoted the United States' resources to finding and destroying al-Qaida, the group that actually attacked our shores, instead of diverting these resources into a questionable war with Iraq, al-Qaida factions might not have been strong enough to make the attack on Spain.

No, if anything, the election results prove that the Bush-led war on terrorism is not only failing but endangering other countries.
