A new 55,000-square-foot Vons store opened at the Rhodes Ranch Town Center at the intersection of Durango Drive and Warm Springs Road Wednesday. Vons says the store incorporates its "lifestyle" concept, with upgraded features such as wood flooring and subdued lighting to create a more relaxed shopping environment.

This is the second new store to open in the fast-growing southwest Las Vegas Valley in recent days. Albertsons opened a store at 10140 W. Flamingo Road at Hualapai Way featuring amenities like a Starbucks coffee shop and a 30-minute photo developing service. Both new stores have U.S. Bank branches.
