Ignacio Alcala

Ignacio Alcala, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 23, 1933, in Jerez Zacatecas, Mexico. A resident for 25 years, he was a cook.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe, two daughters, Guadalupe Monarrez and Yissela Alcala, and two sons, Juan and Javier, all of Las Vegas; two brothers; and four sisters.

Visitation is scheduled at 4 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m Friday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Angela M. Accrocco

Angela M. Accrocco, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 2, 1915, in Lucerne, Pa. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired bank teller and a member of the Sun City Dancers, Silvertone Singers, and Club Italia.

She is survived by one son, Joseph Accrocco of Osterville, Ma.; one daughter, Elizabeth Buckley of Phoenix; three sisters, Rose Munjas of Las Vegas, Lucia Barton of Shadyside, Ohio, and Pauline Toth of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, followed by burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Dominador Pablo Balaoing

Dominador Pablo Balaoing, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 19, 1912, in the Philippines. A resident for six months, he was a landscaper.

He is survived by his wife, Elsa; five sons, Jose Orlando L. Balaoing, Alexander S. Balaoing and Eduardo S. Balaoing, all of San Jose, Calif., and Hercules S. Balaoing and Dominador S. Balaoing, both of Modesto, Calif.; six daughters, A. Ida B. Heje of Modesto, Calif., Cleopatra B. De Leon and Josephine B. Apostol, both of the Philippines, and Vida Y Amor B. Cayabyab, Aurora B. Barrago and Dionecia B. Cayabyab, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Eusebio Balaoing of Orosi, Calif.; 29 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will be in the Philippines.

Bessie Mae Beck

Bessie Mae Beck, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. Born Dec. 9, 1932, in Oregon, she was a florist.

She is survived by her husband, Duane; one son, Dale Beck, and one daughter, Trina Beck, both of Nevada; and four brothers, Daniel Hymer of Nevada and Jay B. Hymer, Lenord Hymer and Clay Hymer, all of Arizona.

Services will be private. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive, is handling arrangements.

James Michael Bergman

James Michael Bergman, 37, of Pahrump died March 1 in Pahrump. Born April 1, 1966, in Youngstown, Ohio, he was a worker in the pharmaceutical industry.

He is survived by his wife, Jolyn Marie; his father, John Edward Bergman Sr. of Ohio; his mother, Cherly Elaine Smith; one son, James Bergman Jr., and one daughter, Ciara Bergman, both of Pahrump; three brothers, John Bergman Jr. of Clarksville, Tenn., David Bergman of Columbus, Ohio, and Eric Bergman of Niles, Ohio; and his grandmother, Mary Bergman of Ohio.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Chapel of Henderson, 47 E. Atlantic Ave., Henderson. Burial will be private.

Alice C. Brown

Alice C. Brown, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 10, 1921, in Manitoba. A resident for 23 years, she was a telephone operator.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest V.; three daughters, Betty Grant of Manitou Springs, Colo., Norma and Tom Gimino of Glendale, Ariz., and Donna Dennis of Sacramento; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 8:30 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.

Enid Laree Clark

Enid Laree Clark, 69, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 22, 1934, in Cedar City, Utah. A resident for many years, she served in the Cub Scouts, primary, the Relief Society and as a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading and was a storyteller.

She is survived by her husband, James; three sons, Terry and Cary, both of Henderson, and Chris of Las Vegas; two daughters, Lucinda Germanier of Henderson and Debra Garin of Las Vegas; her mother, Lois McPhie of St. George, Utah; three sisters, Myrle Schade and Geneal Error, both of Pueblo, Colo., and Carolyn Pectol of Santa Clara, Utah.

Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in the LDS Desert Rose chapel, 567 W. Pacific Ave., Henderson. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cedar City Cemetery.

Elizabeth Irene Cohn

Elizabeth Irene Cohn, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. Born July 28, 1921, in Easton, Pa., she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; two daughters, Eileen Werkheiser and Elizabeth Foster, and one son, Richard, all of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Jimmy Ray Hedge

Jimmy Ray Hedge, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 8, 1938, in Clay County, Ark. A resident for 45 years, he was a card dealer at the Frontier and an Army veteran.

He is survived by three sisters, Barbara Bosch, Fritzie Baker and Bernice Carr.

Paul E. Huish

Paul E. Huish, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 10, 1931, in East Chicago, Ind. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired receiver in the gaming industry, a Korean War veteran, and a member of Elks Lodge 1468 and the Shriners.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; and one sister, Mary Carolyn Hopf of Indiana.

Angel Jimenez

Angel Jimenez, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1929, in Mexico. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired busboy.

He is survived by one Brother, Daniel Jimenez, Santa Barbara, Calif.

Gerald 'Keith' Lane

Gerald "Keith" Lane, 64, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 23, 1939, in Maud, Okla. A resident for three years, he was a retired business owner and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Arleen; two sons, Bryan Lane of Lindsay, Calif., and Randy Lane of Turlock, Calif.; one daughter, Cheryl Lane of Henderson; his mother, Opal Lane of Lindsay; two brothers, Leroy Lane of Lindsay and Gene Lane of Mooresville, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Georgia O. Leis

Georgia O. Leis, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born May 27, 1918, in Pawnee City, Neb. A resident for 60 years, she was a retired food concession manager.

She is survived by one son, Arthur G. Leis of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Fleshman of Hermosillo, Mexico, and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Friday in Palm Chapel, Main, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Irene Lucero

Irene Lucero, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. Born Sept. 7, 1924, in Alsbach, Germany, she was a retired audit clerk.

A memorial service will be held in New Mexico.

Edward V. Lurati

Edward V. Lurati, 81, of Las Vegas died March 10 in Las Vegas. He was born July 27, 1922, in San Antonio. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired Master Sergeant of the Army and World War II veteran.

He is survived by one brother, Ray Lurati of San Antonio.

James A. Meade

James A. Meade, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 21, 1928, in Sebastopol, Calif. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired security worker, Korean War Army veteran and a member of the Masons Acacia Lodge 243, American Legion Post 8 and the National Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Katherine E. Meade of Las Vegas.

Dale Ozment

Dale Ozment, 64, formerly of Las Vegas died Friday in Enos, Okla. He was born April 21, 1939, in Troy, Okla. He was a police officer, federal drug enforcement agent, a Special Forces veteran, Secret Service agent and a captain in the Army Reserve.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; two daughters, Cheryl Jayne of Las Vegas and Kathy Miller of Sulphur, Okla.; one brother, Chester Ozment of Kingston, Okla.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be in Oklahoma. Campbell-Watts Funeral Home, Tishomingo, Okla. handled arrangements.

Thimios Petropoulos Sr.

Thimios Petropoulos Sr., 70, of Las Vegas died March 8. He was born March 4, 1934, in Athens, Greece. A resident for 40 years, he was a tavern owner and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Steven Petropoulos, Nicholas Petropoulos and Terry Petropoulos Jr., two daughters, Elaine Ruiter and Tracy Scott, all of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Services were scheduled for 11 a.m. today in St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.

William L. Phillips

William L. Phillips, 79, of Boulder City died Saturday in Boulder City. He was born March 18, 1924, in McGill. He was a retired operations foreman at Hoover Dam and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley; two sons; Bill Phillips and Robert Phillips, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Kathryn Smith of Boulder City; one brother, Clyde G. Phillips of Wilmington, Del.; and two grandsons.

Helen L. Riley

Helen L. Riley, 89, formerly of Las Vegas died Monday in Normal, Ill. She was born May 2, 1914, in Bloomington, Ill. She was an electrical company timekeeper.

She is survived by one niece, Linda Roth of Bloomington; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday followed by services at Bunkers Mortuary Memory Gardens, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Eleana Ruppert

Eleana Ruppert, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 8, 1927, in Jebo, Wyo. A resident for 71 years, she was a retired office manager and a member of Women in Construction.

She is survived by one son, Bobby Ruppert Jr., one daughter, Lucinda Ruppert, and one brother, James Dondich, all of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday services in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Geraldine R. Smith

Geraldine R. Smith, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 1, 1920, in St. Joseph, Mo. A resident for nine years, she was a telephone supervisor.

She is survived by two sons, B.J. Smith and Timothy Smith, both of Las Vegas; one brother, James Stucker of Newhall, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Eugene P. Sonnenberg

Eugene P. Sonnenberg, 84, died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 15, 1920, in Indiana. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Air Force colonel.

He is survived by one son, Bruce Sonnenberg of Chicago Heights.

Tapu Mansfield Thompson

Tapu Mansfield Thompson, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 13, 1939, in Tampa, Fla. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired singer.

She is survived by one son, Grady Jones of Las Vegas; three daughters, Diana McPherson of Henderson, Lorri Conover and Debbie Thompson, both of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren.
