Police seek man in death of woman found in garage

Metro Police are searching for a 33-year-old man whose dead girlfriend was found wrapped in duct tape and plastic Monday night at the couple's home in southwest Las Vegas.

A warrant to arrest Michael Anthony Wilson has not been issued, but police want to ask him questions, Lt. Tom Monahan said.

Monahan described the relationship between Wilson and the victim as "tumultuous." Police have no record of responding to any calls for help at the couple's most recent home, however.

The victim's daughter filed a missing person report Friday because she hadn't been able to get in touch with her mother since March 5, Monahan said.

At 6 p.m. Monday, the woman and some friends went to the home in the 7500 block of Reindeer Court, near Tenaya Way and Flamingo Road, and found it locked. There was no response to their knocks on the door. They talked to neighbors who said they had not seen the woman recently.

The victim's daughter called police and patrol officers forced their way into the house, Monahan said.

Officers found what appeared to be a human body inside a white vehicle parked inside the garage, he said.

Wilson is 5 feet 11 inches, weighs 230 pounds and drives a silver, 4-door 2002 Mitsubishi Gallant with an Army Ranger decal on the back window and Nevada veteran commemorative plates with the number VA1461, Monahan said.

This is Metro's 30th homicide of the year and the eighth since Friday.

Anyone with information about the killing or Wilson's whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or the homicide section at 229-3521.
