ArtistFest planned Saturday at UNLV
The Las Vegas Branch of the National League of American Pen Women will present ArtistFest from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Donna Beam Fine Art Gallery at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Five specialists will discuss their art, and there will be an open question period.
The seminar is free, but seating is limited. Call 435-3838 for information.
Fund-raiser set Saturday for UBS
United Blood Services of Southern Nevada will hold the Images of Life fund-raiser at 6 p.m. Saturday at The Rio.
Live and silent auctions of life-size, painted masks decorated by local officials, public personalities and artists will be held.

Women's Summit scheduled at Stardust
Nevada Women's Agenda will hold "Nevada Women's Summit 2004: Nevada Women United" from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Stardust Convention Center.
Guest speakers include New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson; Planned Parenthood Federation of America's President Gloria Feldt; Rep. Barbara Lee of California; Sue Wagner, former Nevada lieutenant governor; Choice USA Executive Director Crystal Plati; and Lois Rita Helmbold, chairwoman of UNLV's Woman's Studies Department .

Nova Southeastern University's
Las Vegas Student Education Center will host an information meeting at 6 p.m. Friday at 5740 Eastern Ave. to introduce women and minorities to opportunities to earn a master's of science in dducation with a specialization in computer science education.
