Marcos Gonzales Aguirre

Marcos Gonzales Aguirre, 66, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born March 1, 1938, in Deming, N.M. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired cement mason in the construction industry and a member of Cement Masons Local 797.

He is survived by seven daughters, Mary Ann Ramos, Juanita Hale, Carmen Montoya and Della Pecce, all of Henderson, Celia Phillips of Kalispell, Mont., and Dee Dee Townsend and Rosalie Martinez, both of Southern California; four sons, Reuben Baca, Heto Baca and Marcos Aguirre, all of Henderson and Raymond Baca of Las Vegas; his father, Edward Aguirre of Pacoima, Calif.; two brothers, Juan Gonzales of Las Vegas and Eddie Joe Gonzales of Henderson; four sisters, Margaret Placencio of Silver City, N.M., Guadalupe Aguirre of Phoenix, Maria Alena Aguirre of Santa Ana, Calif., and Elizabeth Borbolla of Buena Park, Calif.; 32 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 6 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Emma Alita Berreth

Emma Alita Berreth, 94, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 2, 1909, in Campbell County, S.D. A resident for 32 years, she was a waitress.

She is survived by one daughter, Claudia Bumstead of Las Vegas; one grandchild; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

John C. Boadle

John C. Boadle, 69, of Henderson died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born June 5, 1934, in Great Falls, Mont. A resident for eight years, he was a retired mining drag line operator, a Korean War Marine Corps veteran, a member of Masonic Lodge F&AM 77 of Choteau, Mont., American Legion Post 40 of Henderson, Marine Corps League and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; one daughter, Lynn Schweitzer of Federal Way, Wash.; one son, John Robert Boadle of Milton, Wash.; one sister, Darlene Weager of Choteau; and one brother, Jim Boadle of Ulm, Mont.

Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Kennan Joel Bowen

Kennan Joel Bowen, 1 1/2, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for nine months, he was born July 5, 2002, in Pocatello, Idaho.

He is survived by his parents, Taren Joel and Holly Wadsworth Bowen, one brother, Benjamin Bowen, and two sisters, Aleisha Bowen and Megan Bowen, all of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Sam and Bernice Wadsworth of Pocatello, Idaho, Joel and Gail Bowen of Ogden, Utah, and Glen and Jeaneal McCulloch Meeds of Clarkston, Wash.; and his great-grandparents, Cecil and Kathleen McCulloch of Memphis, Tenn.

Tony Broussard

Tony Broussard, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 18, 1918, in Rain, La. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired garment factory supervisor and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; and one sister, Margaret Chelette of Inglewood, Calif.

Cirilo Mendoza Calapini

Cirilo Mendoza Calapini, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1931, in the Philippines. A resident for 29 years, he was a retired snack bar owner-operator.

He is survived by one son, Rudy; one daughter, Maria Chua, and three sisters, Pony Mones, Natividad Jimenez and Zenaida Calapini, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Ricardo Calapini and Junior Calapini, both of California, and Urbano Calapini Jr. of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Walter Davis

Walter Davis, 77, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born May 29, 1926, in Newton, Mass. A resident for three years, he was a retired accountant and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; two daughters, Yvette Ryan of Minneapolis and Elaine Lamb of Merrimack, N.H.; three sons, Walter E. Davis II of Woodstock, Vt., Patrick Davis of Harwich, Mass., and Jonathan Davis of Melrose, Mass.; three sisters; one brother; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Joseph Digles

Joseph Digles, 73, of Incline Village died Thursday in Incline Village. He was born June 15, 1929, in Illinois. A resident of Nevada for 50 years and a former Las Vegas resident, he was a retired editor of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, former owner and publisher of the Las Vegas Valley Times and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by two stepsons, James Gallo and John Vorpahl, both of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Slade of Durango, Colo.; one brother, Ronald Digles of Henderson; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Betty Ferrara

Betty Ferrara, 81, of Las Vegas died March 2 in Las Vegas. A homemaker, he was born June 23, 1922, in Kansas.

He is survived by one daughter, Joann Young of Las Vegas.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

John J. Kelleher

John J. Kelleher, 61, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 6, 1942, in Bayonne, N.J. A resident for five years, he was disabled.

He is survived by one brother, Bart Kelleher of Las Vegas; and one sister, Anne Doroshuk of San Diego.

Gerre Lettieri, 71, of Henderson died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born Aug. 19, 1932, in Chicago. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired office manager in the import-export industry.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura McKenna of Chandler, Ariz., and Valerie Artuso of Las Vegas; one brother, Joseph Cicero of San Francisco; and five grandchildren.

Kip A. Micheli

Kip A. Micheli, 46, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 10, 1958, in San Francisco.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas Micheli of San Bruno, Calif., and Michael Micheli of Fairfield, Calif.; his mother, Dorothy Mizak of North Las Vegas; two brothers, Roy G. Micheli II of Charlotte, N.C., and Ronald G.Micheli of Copperolis, Calif.; two sisters, Barbara Van Zandt of Oroville, Calif., and Gale Micheli of Lafayette, La.

Allan Miller

Allan Miller, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a California care center. He was born June 29, 1916, in New York City. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired accountant for the U.S. Postal Service and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; two sons, Chad Miller of Mountain View, Calif., and Jeffrey Miller of Potomac, Md.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Monday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Arthur Pappas

Arthur Pappas, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born March 18, 1925, in Joliet, Ill. A resident for 19 years, he was a letter carrier, a World War II Navy veteran, past master of Royal Palm Lodge 100 F&AM and a retired member in good standing of Branch 1971 NALC in Florida.

He is survived by three brothers, Gregory Pappas of Powell, Tenn., William Pappas of Los Angeles and Anthony Pappas of Henderson.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Leo Tursi

Leo Tursi, 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1923, in Bari, Italy. A resident for four years, he was a retired executive in pollution control and was a World War II Navy veteran who served more than 50 missions in the South Pacific.

He is survived by his wife, Olga; one daughter, Paula Park of Las Vegas; two sons, Dominick Tursi of New York and Leonard Tursi of Las Vegas; three brothers, Joseph Tursi of Oradell, N.J., Andrew Tursi of Staten Island, N.Y., and Al Tursi of Bergenfield, N.J.; one sister, Mary Agrella of Queens, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Luther Willis

Luther Willis, 94, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care center. He was born March 11, 1910, in Fitzgerald, Ga. A resident for 29 years, he was a hotel head maintenance man.

He is survived by his wife, Ceola; two sons, Robert Willis of New Jersey and Elder Glen Willis of Florida; three daughters, Carol A. Willis, Deborah Willis and Lucille Foster, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Esther Gilbert of California; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Calvary Southern Baptist Church, 1600 E. Cartier Ave., North Las Vegas. A private burial will follow.
