Metro Police say three men were arrested early this morning and charged with setting fire to soft drink vending machines at an apartment complex.
The arson caused an estimated $25,000 in damage.
Police were asked to provide additional surveillance to the southwest portion of the Las Vegas Valley following a series of vending machine fires over the past few weeks.
Investigators believe as many as 30 vending machine fires may be related.
The arrests took place about 2:30 a.m. at the Palermo Apartments in the 5800 block of Harmon Avenue.
The men, who have not yet been identified by police, include two 19-year-olds and one 18-year-old.
They were being held this morning at the Clark County Detention Center.
