Jimmie S. Anaya

Jimmie S. Anaya, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 17, 1926, in Chandler, Ariz. A resident for 25 years, he was a laborer in the construction industry and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; 10 daughters, Rosie Anaya, Cynthia Morillo, Maxine Anaya and Sadie Gurule, all of California, Regina Steele of Caliente, Flora Garcia of Utah, Mary Lindahl of Pahrump and Cathy Cabrerra, Jennie Linton and Loretta Vasquez, all of Las Vegas; seven sons, Richard Anaya and Jim Anaya Jr., both of California, Pat Sedillo of Nevada, Elijio Griego Jr., Pete Griego, Orlando Griego and Louie Lindahl, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Sunday with a 7 p.m. rosary in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

James Michael Bergman

James Michael Bergman, 37, of Pahrump died March 1 in Pahrump. A pharmaceutical producer, he was born April 1, 1966, in Youngstown, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Jolyn Marie; one son, James Bergman Jr., and one daughter, Clara Bergman, both of Pahrump; his father, John Edward Bergman Sr. of Ohio; three brothers, John Bergman Jr. of Clarksville, Tenn., David Bergman of Columbus, Ohio, and Eric Bergman of Niles, Ohio;

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements. A private burial will follow.

Keenan Joel Bowen

Keenan Joel Bowen, 1 1/2, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for nine months, he was born July 5, 2002, in Pocatello, Idaho.

He is survived by his parents, Taren Joel and Holly Wadsworth Bowen, one brother, Benjamin Bowen, and two sisters, Aleisha Bowen and Megan Bowen, all of Las Vegas; his grandparents, Sam and Bernice Wadsworth of Pocatello, Joel and Gail Bowen of Ogden, Utah, and Glen and Jeaneal McCulloch Meeds of Clarkston, Wash.; and his great-grandparents, Cecil and Kathleen McCulloch of Memphis, Tenn.

Services were scheduled at 10:30 a.m. today in the Christy/Harris LDS chapel, 1001 N. Christy Lane, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Rita Caughlin

Rita Caughlin, 63, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 6, 1940, in Pound, Va. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald; and one son, Keith Caughlin of Newport News, Va.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will follow at noon Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Marilyn K. Colbert

Marilyn K. Colbert, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born May 2, 1938, in Chicago. A resident for 26 years, she was a homemaker and past president of Daughters of Erin.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas E.; four sons, Patrick Sean Colbert of Bartlett, Ill., and Kevin Colbert, Michael Colbert and Timothy Colbert, all of Las Vegas; eight daughters, Maureen Torkelson, Kathleen Bravin, Colleen Martin, Eileen Colbert, Kelly Parker, Marie Linford and Chrissie Colbert, all of Las Vegas and Tracey Vogel of Fremont, Calif.; her mother, Irene G. Kennedy, and one brother, Thomas Kennedy, both of Arlington Heights, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be 12:40 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Kate C. Cornelison

Kate C. Cornelison, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 9, 1930, in Richmond, Ky. A resident for nine years, she was a retired county government supervisor.

She is survived by one son, Clarke Cornelison of Las Vegas; one daughter, Elizabeth Hampton of Thornville, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at 1006 Overture Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Robbie E. Darensbourg

Robbie E. Darensbourg, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday. A retired schoolteacher, she was born Nov. 30, 1912, in Monroe, La.

She is survived by her husband, Prosper; and one son, Carroll Darensbourg of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Helen Gould

Helen Gould, 84, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. A homemaker, she was born May 11, 1919, in Texas.

She is survived by one son, Frank Gould of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lana Hane; one sister, Doris Porter; and one brother, R.L. Stafek.

George H. Greene

George H. Greene, 56, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 15, 1947, in Modesto, Calif. A resident for 18 years, he was a prep-man in the housing industry and was a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; three daughters, Theresa Young of Clifton, Colo., and Pamela Greene and Telina Williams, both of Grand Junction, Colo.; one sister, Elaine Yaco of Redwood City, Calif.; one brother, Raymond Greene of California; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Ethel Mary Hill

Ethel Mary Hill, 94, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 28, 1909, in Chicago. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired religious education teacher.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Ernstsen of Las Vegas and LeeAnn Hernandez of British Columbia; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Lonyata M. Kidwell

Lonyata M. Kidwell, 33, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born April 13, 1970, in Detroit.

She is survived by her husband, Kerry; one son, Devante Kidwell, one daughter, Shannon Kidwell, and her mother, Doris (Ware) Harville, all of Las Vegas; her father, Edward Harville; two brothers, Stefan Harville of Las Vegas and Corey Harville of Atlanta; three sisters, Shantye Moxley, Latsha Harville and India Harville, all of Las Vegas.

Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Janice Irene Klein

Janice Irene Klein, 59, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 17, 1944, in New Jersey. A resident for eight years, she was a schoolteacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Erica Klein of Houston; and one sister, Harriet Grant of Boynton Beach, Fla.

Graveside services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Carol Mankawich

Carol Mankawich, 76, of Las Vegas died Feb. 27 in Las Vegas. A receptionist, she was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Wisconsin.

She is survived by one son, Mark Mankawich of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Danny Lee McElroy

Danny Lee McElroy, 32, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born May 26, 1971, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a laborer at the convention center.

He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Dawn McElroy of Henderson.

Graveside services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, handled arrangements.

Audrey Oren

Audrey Oren, 63, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 25, 1941, in Pensacola, Fla. A resident for 40 years, she was a blackjack dealer.

She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Oren, her mother, Isabell Bilbray, two brothers, Gordon B. Bilbray and Richard S. Bilbray, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

J.T. 'Tommy' Penn

J.T. "Tommy" Penn, 91, of Anchorage, Alaska, died Monday in Alaska. He was born Sept. 9, 1912, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A former Las Vegas resident for 40 years, he was a retired owner-operator of Nevada Carpet Co. and was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; two daughters, Carol Penn of Fresno, Calif., and Bonnie Williams of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Joan McKinnon of Anchorage and Linda Finney of Novato, Calif.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Evelyn C. Schlenkert

Evelyn C. Schlenkert, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1915, in Chicago. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlene Jackson of Las Vegas; two sons, Edward Schlenkert Jr. of Roscoe, Ill., and William Schlenkert of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Robert Ayers Shelton

Robert Ayers Shelton, 42, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 29, 1961, in St. Louis. A resident for 25 years, he was a hotel bellman.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Andrew Pulley Shelton of Las Vegas; his ex-wife, Maribel; one daughter, Alexa; two sons, Dillon and Jacob; one brother, Andrew G. Shelton; two sisters, Suzanne Shelton and Pamela Panagakos; and one stepsister, Heather Armstrong.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Bill Wynne

Bill Wynne, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1933, in Girardville, Pa. A resident for six years, he was a director of marketing for a pharmaceutical company, an Army veteran, a member of the Clark County Republican Club and Southern Nevada Area Fermentors Union.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; one son, William Wynne III of Lebanon, Ohio; two daughters, Lynda Wynne Hannan of Tampa, Fla., and Diane Wynne of Great Barrington, Mass.; one sister, Rosalie Miller of Frackville, Pa.; and six grandchildren.

Mass was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road, followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
