O’Callaghan’s services will be on Las Vegas ONE
Tuesday, March 9, 2004 | 9:32 a.m.
An overflow crowd of friends, co-workers and family is expected to attend a funeral service for Las Vegas Sun chairman and former Nevada Gov. Mike O'Callaghan on Thursday.
Las Vegas ONE, Cox cable channels 1 and 19, will broadcast the funeral live at 1 p.m. Thursday.
Visitation for O'Callaghan will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
There will also be a one-hour visitation at the Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church before the 1 p.m. Mass.
A rosary will be said 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 55 E. Reno Ave., just east of the Strip near Tropicana Avenue.
Graveside services will follow at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
