Harold R. Beal
Harold R. Beal, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Kansas. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired letter carrier, a Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his companion, Cecile; two sons, Harold Jr. and William; two daughters, Kelly and Stacey; and five grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Elvira DeLotto
Elvira DeLotto, 97, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 6, 1906, in New Jersey. A resident for six years, she was an administrative assistant, a member of Los Robles Hospital Volunteers Association and Gobles Senior Center volunteers.
She is survived by one son, Oreste; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is arranging a private memorial service.
Mary Early
Mary Early, 91, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born May 28, 1912, in Philadelphia. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired candy store owner-operator.
She is survived by two brothers, Joseph Zelenik of Central, Utah; and one brother, Steve Zelenik of California.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Mildred Gardner
Mildred Gardner, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 26, 1914, in Osceola, Ark. A resident for eight years, she was a tax consultant.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Wainwright of Las Vegas and Barbara Bumpers of Torrance, Calif.; one son, Gilbert E. Hawkins of Bladewater, Texas; one sister, Callie Aldridge of Westland, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Melvin J. Groulx
Melvin J. Groulx, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born April 8, 1921, in Munger, Mich. A resident for five years, he was a retired iron worker and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Cecelia L.; three daughters, Susan Szara of Marrengo, Ill., Kim Wilkerson of Las Vegas and Kellee Lewis of Pembroke, Va.; three brothers, Roy Groulx of Baldwin, Mich., Virgil Groulx of Clio, Mich., and Earl Groulx of Montrose, Mich.; five sisters, Julia Mae of Ionia, Mich., Rita Winter of Montrose, Grace Cartier of Bay City, Mich., Norma Smith of Flushing, Mich., and Julia Zuehlke of Greenbush, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Marie V. Hamrock
Marie V. Hamrock, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 19, 1932, in New Jersey. A resident for 27 years, she was a retired waitress and a member of the Bingo League.
She is survived by three sons, Patrick, Michael and Joseph; two daughters, Judy and Jackie; one brother, Angelo; one sister, Margaret; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Heinz Maserke
Heinz Maserke, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Germany. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired plant worker for a dairy and a member of Teamsters Local 14.
He is survived by his wife, Hanna; one son, Klaus Maserke of Henderson; one daughter, Karin Marshall of Sandy Valley; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 2 p.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Henry L. Pare
Henry L. Pare, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 11, 1916, in Haverhill, Mass. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Air Force senior master sergeant and World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; four daughters, Joan Morris of Las Vegas, Charlotte Cresell of Pocatello, Idaho, Nancy Read Rojas of Seattle and Candyce Pare of Oxon Hill, Md.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. A memorial service will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Altar Samerkand Jr.
Altar Samerkand Jr., 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 26, 1947, in Detroit. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired limousine driver and a Vietnam War and Persian Gulf War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie R.; one daughter, Ebony Samerkand-Glover of Las Vegas; one son, Kevin Samerkand Pough of Farmington Hills, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Mountaintop Faith Ministries, 2850 S. Lindell Road.
Mario Guillermo Weksler
Mario Guillermo Weksler, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 20, 1948, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. A resident for 13 years, he was a retail salesman.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Horne and Karen Weksler, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Visitation is private. A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Orra Floyd Westover
Orra Floyd Westover, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 29, 1911, in Schenectady, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, he was retired food director for the Clark County School District, a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris J.; one daughter, Janice Parlanti of Las Vegas; two sons, Tyrone Westover of Ocean Springs, Miss., and John Westover of Las Vegas; six grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Michael 'Bear' Yanish
Michael "Bear" Yanish, 60, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1944, in El Cerrito, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired poker dealer.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor I.; three stepdaughters, Ann Moegle of Hull, Mass., Gloria Quintana of Taft, Calif., and Diane Miali of Huntington Beach, Calif.; his mother, Marion Yanish of Golden, Colo.; two sisters, Tammy Myers of Golden and Marleine Yanish of Denver; two brothers, Jerry Yanish of Denver and Billy Yanish of Lakewood, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

John M. Zoucha
John M. Zoucha, 63, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1940, in Big Springs, Neb. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired operator in the construction industry and a member of Operating Engineers Local 12.
He is survived by his wife, Sherrill A.; three sons, Jon J. Zoucha of Lakewood, Colo., Robert J. Zoucha and Scott A. Zoucha, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Jan J. Zoucha of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
