The North Las Vegas City Council unanimously approved Wednesday a plan to rezone 168 acres near the RC Farms pig farm for 966 single-family homes on so-called small lots.
Marc Jones, principal planner for the city, said the homes will be built on 3,000- to 6,000-square-foot lots, termed "small lots" by the city.
The project to be built on the rezoned land at Commerce Street and Azure Avenue was approved with the requirement that the developer disclose to potential residents that the homes are near the pig farm and that there could be potential odors.
