Parkway open to traffic again

A stretch of St. Rose Parkway in Henderson between Paseo Verde Parkway and Jeffreys Street opened up again at 2 a.m. today, after being shut for three days because of construction, a state official said.
The road was closed from Friday at 9 p.m. until this morning, as part of a project meant to widen it from two lanes to six in that section.
The most recent shutdown was the last one scheduled for the duration of the project, which should be finished in May, said Bob McKenzie, spokesman for the state Transportation Department. Future work will be accommodated by shifting lanes, he said.
