County Commission to vote on growth task force nominees

After sifting through the names of 209 people proposed for the county's new growth task force, Clark County Manager Thom Reilly on Monday released a list of the 17 people nominated to the panel.
Clark County commissioners were scheduled to vote on the nominations today.
The task force is expected to study what the appropriate level of growth should be for the Las Vegas Valley, the fastest-growing metropolitan area in the past decade. It is expected to offer the County Commission policy recommendations by the end of the year.
The task force members were drawn from among academe and analysts, business and gaming interests, the environmental and developer communities, those involved in health and social services, labor and the public. The nominated members:
