Edith Alessi
Edith Alessi, 66, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 1, 1937, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Sr.; one daughter, Karen Alessi, and one son, Peter Alessi Jr., both of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
Andrew H. Bergan
Andrew H. Bergan, 93, of Las Vegas died Feb. 22 in Texarkana, Texas. A former Las Vegas resident for 50 years, he was born March 2, 1910, in West Bend, Wis.
He is survived by one daughter. Diane L. McDaniels of Texarkana; one brother, Sylvester Bergau of Antioch, Ill.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled Saturday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
Rochelle Wiesiolek Cicio
Rochelle Wiesiolek Cicio, 43, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a Wyoming hospice. A resident for one year, she was born Dec. 27, 1960, in Casper, Wyo.
She is survived by one son, Brandon Cicio of Casper, Wyo.; her parents, Gene and Ferris Wiesiolek of North Las Vegas; and two brothers, Theron Wiesiolek of Las Vegas and Tony Wiesiolek of Virginia.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
Ruth Cohen
Ruth Cohen, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born Feb. 2, 1920, in Chelsea, Mass. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired sales consultant in the retail jewelry industry.
She is survived by one son, Michael Cohen of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lois Miller of Santa Monica, Calif.; one sister, Lillian Castle of North Miami; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.
Gwendolyn Delt
Gwendolyn Delt, 44, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 27, 1959, in Madera, Calif. A resident for five years, she was a medical insurance claims processor.
She is survived by one daughter, Tanya Sherecea Mathis of Las Vegas; her parents, Alfred and Rebecca Delt of Madera; three brothers, David Delt of Moreno Valley, Calif., Charles Jay Delt of Banning, Calif., and Roderick Delt of Fresno, Calif.; four sisters, Adessa Marie McNary of Fresno, Dorene Delt of Madera and Ina Delt and Rachelle Jane Riley, both of Sacramento; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
William Jeffrey Emmons
William Jeffrey Emmons, 47, of Las Vegas died Friday in a New York hospital. A project manager for Helix Electric Inc., he was born Sept. 22, 1956, in Boston.
He is survived by his parents, Donald and Irene Emmons of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; one sister, Kathleen S. Macrini of Cold Spring, N.Y.; and one brother, Don Emmons of Austin, Texas.
No local services are scheduled. McHoul Funeral Home Inc., Hopewell Junction, N.Y., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the National Brain Tumor Foundation, 414 13th St., Suite 700, Oakland, CA 94612-2603, or the Lance Armstrong Foundation, P.O. Box 161150, Austin, TX 78716-1150.
Imogene H. Gray
Imogene H. Gray, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born July 19, 1925, in Maine. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired hospital registered nurse.
She is survived by one son, Bill Gray of Henderson; one sister, Bertha Hanson of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Lung Association, 3375 Glen Ave., No. 7, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Jay Levenson
Jay Levenson, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born March 24, 1931, in Chicago. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired appliance repairman and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta; one son, Rick Levenson of Las Vegas; one daughter, Sleila Wilson of Wheeling, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Juan Manuel Nevarez
Juan Manuel Nevarez, 60, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 22, 1943, in Mexico. A resident for 32 years, he was a construction worker and a member of Local 872.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; two sons, Juan Carlos and Cruz Ignacio; two daughters, Alma Delia and Magdalena; one brother, Lino; two sisters, Antonia and Felicitas; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mass will celebrated at 4:30 p.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Theresa Owens
Theresa Owens, 59, of North Las Vegas died Saturday. She was born Dec. 27, 1944.
She is survived by one daughter, Regina Owens.
Services will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.
Fauono Vaifale
Fauono Vaifale, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 11, 1926, in Fagaloa, Western Samoa. A resident for eight years, he was a retired cultural center village chief.
He is survived by six daughters, Moevanu Buttel and Filupe Auimatagi, both of Las Vegas, Faalili Aurlua of Honolulu and Flora Santiago, Misirita Matagi and Sara Vaifale, all of Salt Lake City; four sons, Junior Auelue of Torrance, Calif., Suauu Auelue of Salt Lake City, Maselino Pese of California and Si'ulepa Auelue of American Samoa; two sisters, Pona Unutoa of Roy, Utah, Moevanu Edwards of Utah; two brothers, Ualapa Fonoti of Ogden, Utah, and Letane Fonoti of Murray, Utah; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to 11 a.m. services Saturday in the LDS Lakes Stakes Center. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
