Namath to exercise warrants

Planned Licensing Inc., which represents former Vestin Group Inc. spokesman Joe Namath, has notified the Las Vegas investment firm that Namath intends to exercise 800,000 Vestin warrants at 1 cent per share.
He also has requested that the company register the shares resulting from that action so they can be sold.
Earlier this year, Vestin officials confirmed that it parted ways with Namath after he attracted negative press for slurring his speech and making advances toward ESPN reporter Suzy Kolber during a sideline interview at a New York Jets football game in December 2003. A month later Namath said in a television interview he would begin counseling for alcohol abuse.
