A 13-year-old boy was killed Tuesday night in a drive-by shooting believed to be gang-related, Metro Police said.
Police received a 911 call about 10:45 p.m. reporting that someone had been shot outside a house in the 6100 block of Evergreen Avenue, near Charleston Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive.
Officers and medics found the boy shot to death in the driveway. His name had not been released this morning.
Sgt. Ken Hefner said the victim and several other teenagers or young adults were gathered in the front yard of the house when someone shot several times from a white Dodge Stratus being driven east past the house.
The suspect was described as a black male in his early 20s wearing a white tank top and jean shorts. Two other men were also in the car, witnesses told police.
Anyone with information about the shooting can call police at 229-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
