Women in radio featured on panel
Four prominent women in Southern Nevada radio will be panelists at the next Working in Communications Roundtable and Panel Discussion, entitled "Women in Las Vegas Radio," at 11:30 a.m. July at Palace Station.
Sitting in on the discussion will be Charese Fruge, program director of KMXB 94.1-FM; Lark Williams of KXPT 97.1-FM; Brooks O'Brien of KWNR 95.5-FM; and Kim Kelly of KKLZ 96.3-FM.
Admission is $30; $25 for WIC members at the door without an RSVP; $20 for WIC members with RSVP.

Program gives free gasoline
Keen-17 Television and the New Life International Church will be giving away $3,000 in gasoline from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Mobile station, 1381 W. Warm Springs Road in Henderson, to celebrate its new program "Gas From God," a continuing outreach designed to show God's presence in everyday life.
Saturday's free gas giveaway will give each car, on a first come first served basis, $10 worth of gasoline until $3,000 worth of gasoline has been given away. Also on hand will be "Buzz and Poppy," two life-size characters from the animated children's show of the same name.

School safety show planned for kids
WeTip, known as the people's voice against crime, will present its School Safety Show for Kids Against Drugs show from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. July 8 at the VFW Hall, 705 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
The show is designed to teach children about the dangers of drugs and strangers, as well as how to avoid potentially dangerous situations. There will be coloring contests and prizes.
WeTip will also provide fingerprinting records for parents to keep for their children. The children will also be taught to call 911 in case of a real emergency.
