Network looks for homes to help
The Do It Yourself Network needs local home and property owners to profile in two of its programs, "DIY to the Rescue" and "Grounds for Improvement."
The cable television network is in search of homeowners with failed or neglected home improvement projects. For "Grounds for Improvement," a new series to debut in the fall, DIY wants to profile outdoor properties that need attention, whether due to neglect or as a result of Mother Nature.
DIY is accepting applications until July 11 for both series at its companion website, www.DIYnetwork.com/diy/be on diy, which explains the guidelines and criteria on the homeowner and property selections.
In "DIY to the Rescue," licensed contractors, skilled carpenters, master plumbers and certified electricians travel to homes across the country in a specially outfitted truck, equipped with all of the tools necessary to finish a job. The show airs Thursday nights at 10 p.m.
