Quilters warming up to Ronald McDonald House
Wednesday, June 23, 2004 | 9:19 a.m.
The Sunrise Mountain Quilt Circle delivered 31 blankets to the Ronald McDonald House recently.
As one of the 160 Binky Patrol chapters nationwide, the 15 Las Vegas quilters meet twice a month to create blankets for children born with HIV/AIDS, drug addiction or terminal illness and for children who are abused, orphaned or experiencing trauma.
The Las Vegas Binky Patrol chapter delivers between one and three dozen quilts every two to three months to the Ronald McDonald House or Nathan Adelson Hospice's Silk Butterfly Program.
