Roger D. Allred

Roger D. Allred, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 24, 1922, in Ephraim, Utah. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired plumber.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; one son, Russell C. Allred of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Jaynann Allred Wendt of Orem, Utah, and Teresa Wert of Katy, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

John W. Azevedo Jr.

John W. Azevedo Jr., 32, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 11, 1972, in California. A resident for 11 years, he was a casino cashier.

He is survived by his father, John W. Azevedo Sr.; and one sister Joyce L. Azevedo.

Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Stan Beals

Stan Beals, 80, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1923, in Tacoma, Wash. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired accountant, and World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Fumiko; one son, Gary Beals of Orange County, Calif.; three daughters, Donna Montana of Walnut Creek, Calif., Mimi Beals of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Lori Cambra of Martinez, Calif.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Mortuary.

Robert Bennington

Robert Bennington, 40, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a Las Vegas. He was born May 2, 1964, in Philadelphia. A resident for 11 years, he owned a financial services company.

He is survived by his fiancee, Heather Martell, two sons, Taylor Bennington and Shayne Bennington, two stepdaughters, Megan Martell and Natalie Martell, and his mother, Harriet Berman, all of Las Vegas; his stepmother, Daryl Berman of Tampa, Fla.; six brothers, Michael Berman of Las Vegas and Preston Berman, Alexander Berman, Jacob Berman, Joseph Berman and Terrance Berman, all of Tampa; and one sister, Carol Berman of North Hollywood, Calif.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Maurice 'Josh' Borgna

Maurice "Josh" Borgna, 67, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born May 30, 1937, in Eureka. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired bank vice president.

He is survived by his wife Laurie; one son, James Borgna, and one brother, Marshall Borgna, both of Las Vegas.

Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Peter Jon Brauner

Peter Jon Brauner, 41, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., died Saturday in New York. He was born Jan. 26, 1963, in Oyster Bay, N.Y. A former resident of Las Vegas, he was a printer and a member of the Printers Union.

He is survived by his mother, Muriel Brauner, one brother, Steven Brauner, and one sister, Judith Hyrka, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

James Busby

James Busby, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 5, 1917, in Leland, Miss. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired electronics technician, World War II Army veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Camille.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Cemetery.

Pauline Cuocolo

Pauline Cuocolo, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 29, 1926, in New York City. A resident for 29 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Corrao and Annette Kubrich, both of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson, followed by burial in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Bonnie Fiore, 42, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 2, 1962, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 34 years, she was a floor supervisor at a hotel.

She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Fiore, her father, Ben Fiore, one sister, Michele Guerrero, and one brother, Larry Fiore, all of Las Vegas.

Alfonso M. Gonzalez

Alfonso M. Gonzalez, 69, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 29, 1935, in Mexico. A resident for 39 years, he was a casino kitchen worker.

He is survived by his wife, Porfiria; four sons, Manuel Gonzalez, Javier Gonzalez, Gabriel Gonzalez and Marco Gonzalez, all of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. services Thursday at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. An additional service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Anne Catholic Church, 1901 S. Maryland Parkway, followed burial in Palm Valley View Cemetery.

Wanda L. Hays

Wanda L. Hays, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 11, 1929, in Oklahoma. A resident for 19 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Archie; one son, Allen Hays; three daughters, Patricia Nevitt, Cherryl Perry and Joanie Hays; three brothers, Ronald Vance, Richard Witt and Orville Hopkins; seven sisters, Bonnie Vance, Gladys Witt, Eunice Hopkins, Darlene Vance, Ada Vance, Edith Vibbert and Evelyn Bergman; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, followed by noon services at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Anton J. Hettmann

Anton J. Hettmann, 66, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born June 18, 1938, in Hungary. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired upholsterer.

He is survived by his wife, Antonia N.; three daughters, Linda Hettmann-Faught of Lancaster, Calif., and Margaret Brown and Sylvia Hettmann, both of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Stephen H. Kail

Stephen H. Kail, 53, of Las Vegas died June 16 in Las Vegas. He was born May 2, 1951, in Idaho. A resident for 20 years, he was a telemarketer.

He is survived by his companion, Ann M. Ruiz; two sons, Jarrett Ryan Kail and Braxton Henry Kail; one daughter Alondra Lyn Kail; and two brothers, Jody Kail and Paris Kail.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Robert James Keely

Robert James Keely, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 17, 1948, in Grand Forks, N.D. A resident for five years, he was a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Robert E. Keely of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kristy Busboom of Reno; and one grandchild.

Vernon W. 'Bill' Knowles

Vernon W. "Bill" Knowles, 78, of Alliance, Ohio, died Sunday in Alliance. He was born May 10, 1926, in Alliance. A former Las Vegas resident until July 2002, he was an Alliance firefighter, a part-time employee for Ohio State Liquor Control, a World War II Navy veteran who served on the USS Kennebago in the Asiatic Pacific Theater, a Korean War veteran, a member of the Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio, International Association of Firefighters, the Alliance Bowlers Hall of Fame, a life member of Elks 467, American Legion Post 166, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, Korean Conflict Veterans of America and Buckeye State Sheriffs Association and received the Meritorious Hall of Fame Service Award for years of bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Jane; three sisters, Sally Shilling, Linda Becker, and Dorothy Brick, all of Alliance; one daughter, Barbara Koch; one son, Michael Knowles of Forestville, Calif.; one step-daughter, Karen Hill, and one step-son, Kevin Ramser, both of Las Vegas; two granddaughters, Lisa Koch of Alliance and Michelle Teeling of Akron, Ohio; three step-granddaughters, Kaile Hill, Jenna Hill and Jori Hill, all of Las Vegas; and three great-grandsons, all of Akron.

No local services are scheduled. Cassady-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, is handling arrangements.

Soon Hee Lindberg

Soon Hee Lindberg, 47, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born March 1, 1957, in Seoul, Korea. A resident for 24 years, she was a casino supervisor.

She is survived by her husband, David; two sons, David Lindberg Jr. and Erik Lindberg, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Boo Ja Chong of Los Angeles; two sisters, Kyung Hee Park of Chicago and Sook Hee Park of Seoul; and two brothers, Kyung Taek Park and Jae Heung Park, both of Los Angeles.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will be private.

Lloyd Willard Mann

Lloyd Willard Mann, 62, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 28, 1942, in Phoenix. A resident for 34 years, he was a retired lawyer, Vietnam War Army veteran, former high school teacher, and former assemblyman.

He is survived by his wife Carol M.; three sons, Lloyd Willard Mann Jr., Larry Mann and David Mann, all of Las Vegas; seven daughters, Deborah Lofink of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Wendy Goslar, Pamela Mann, Brenda Mann, Mary Cullen, Nancy Keller and Michelle Mann, all of Las Vegas; and 16 grandchildren.

William McColgan

William McColgan, 79, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 7, 1925, in Massachusetts. A resident for six years, he was a sales representative and a Merchant Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by one brother, Charles; and one sister, Janet M. Prevett.

Nels Sevalstad Jr.

Nels Sevalstad Jr., 78, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. Born July 6, 1925, in Great Falls, Mont., he owned and operated the Wise River Club in Montana with his brother Carl, he was a Navy jet pilot, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and entertaining.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Suzanne; three sons, Roy, Michael and Blake; one daughter, Cindy; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be July 6 in Montana. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, Boulder City, is handling arrangements.

Annette Wilkes

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; two stepsons, Blair Wilkes and Brian Wilkes; two daughters, Bunny McCleary and Brenda Collins; and seven grandchildren.
