Franklin R. Cooper

Franklin R. Cooper, 80, of Pahrump died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 7, 1923, in Wendell, Idaho. A lifelong resident, he was a retired steel worker and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edna C.; four sons, Frank R. Cooper Jr. and Ronald L. Cooper, both of Las Vegas, David Cooper of Sauk City, Wis., and Arnold Cooper of Pahrump; three sisters, Elzina Wiley of Orem, Utah, Nevada Jones of Yermo, Calif., and Marietta Carson of Ely; two brothers, Richard Cooper of St. George, Utah, and Ivan Cooper of Overton; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Carl Thomas Foster

Carl Thomas Foster, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 14, 1923, in North Wilkesboro, N.C. A resident for 34 years, he was a dealer.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ceora; one daughter, Michelle Allyn of Montana; one son, John Foster of Las Vegas; one stepson, Robert Heath of South Carolina; three stepdaughters, Mary Franken of Las Vegas and Bette Health and Susan Schyler, both of Reno; one sister, Joan Edwards of Sparks; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Friday in the Pecos and Osage LDS chapel. Burial will be in California. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the LDS Family History Center.

Robert E. Heginbottom

Robert E. Heginbottom, 65, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born June 29, 1938, in Hannibal, Mo. He retired after 23 years as an electronics teacher at Community College of Southern Nevada, retired after 26 years in the Air Force and was a Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia; one son, Robert; two daughters, Traci and Kenna; and seven grandchildren.

D.W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel, Gladstone, Mo., is handling arrangements.

Donald Ralph Heidelberger

Donald Ralph Heidelberger, 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born June 6, 1943, in Robbinsdale, Minn. A resident for 20 years, he was a service manager and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; three sons, Scott Heidelberger, Jeff Heidelberger and Curt Heidelberger, all of Minnesota; four daughters, Becky Whitman of Cambridge, Minn., Shanna Gudim of Farmington, Minn., Tylla Evangelista of San Diego and Joya Gudim of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Doris Holiday

Doris Holiday, 69, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born June 1, 1935, in Idabel, Okla. A resident for 51 years, she was a bus driver for the Clark County School District.

She is survived by five daughters, Brenda Hardwick, Sherry Lomack, Stacey Burns, Kelly Green and Demete Ross, and three sons, Marty Bunn, Gerry Marshall and Bret Holiday, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Alphina Nunley Jr., and two sisters, Shirley Nunley and Pamela Porter, all of Phoenix; 31 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 1117 N. F St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Robert James Keely

Robert James Keely, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Grand Forks, N.D. He was born March 17, 1948, in Grand Forks, N.D. A resident for five years, he was a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one son, Robert E. Keely of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kristy Busboom of Reno; and one grandchild.

Alice H. Lee

Alice H. Lee, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 6, 1914, in Teton City, Idaho. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Nelson of Henderson and Barbara Lee of Woodland, Wash.; two sons, Thomas Lee and Steve Lee, both of Henderson; one sister, Sybil Packer of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Loyal Hansen of Preston, Idaho, and Lester Hansen of Bonita Springs, Fla. 30 grandchildren; and 67 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Thursday in the LDS Seven Hills Ward. Burial will be in Brigham City Cemetery, Brigham City, Utah.

Bertha 'Bertie' Mona

Bertha "Bertie" Mona, 79, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born April 19, 1925, in Camden, N.J. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Bigelow and Denise McNamara of Henderson; one son, Michael Mona Jr.; two brothers, George Eckel of Henderson and Elwood Eckel of New Jersey; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 1-2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will follow at 3 p.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Delores Barnett Moose

Delores Barnett Moose, 65, of Las Vegas died June 15 in Las Vegas. She was born March 22, 1939, in the Philippines. A resident for 13 years, she was a casino porter.

She is survived by her husband, Ben A.; one daughter, Christine Kelley, and one son, Christopher Baker, both of Henderson; one stepdaughter, Jessica D. Douglas of Kansas City, Mo.; 12 sisters and brothers, all of the Philippines; one brother of Monrovia, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Jose A. Ortiz

Jose A. Ortiz, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 30, 1925, in Puerto Rico. A resident for three years, he was a retired rancher.

He is survived by six sons, Heriberto Ortiz, Rolando Ortiz, Jose A. Ortiz Jr. and Jose E. Ortiz, all of Hayward, Calif., Miguel Ortiz and Jose F. Ortiz, both of Puerto Rico; four daughters, Ada Lillian Ortiz of Las Vegas, Ada Luz Ortiz and Edna Luz Emanuelli, both of Puerto Rico and Clara Ortiz of Fremont, Calif.; 46 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3:30-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Jerry Pakcyk

Jerry Pakcyk, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 9, 1933, in California. A resident for 18 years, he was a taxicab company supervisor and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ariya; two sons, Gregory and Larry; four daughters, Jerilynn, Kimberly, Jodi and Jennifer; and four grandchildren.

Services were scheduled 1-2 p.m. today at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Extended viewing was scheduled from 2-5 p.m.

Maxine Rohrbough

Maxine Rohrbough, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born April 17, 1918, in New Galilee, Pa. A resident for 15 years, she was a dressmaker, director of the Management Consultant Institute in Madison, Wis., and a training director for the Girl Scouts of America.

She is survived by two daughters, Kay Swiger of Fort Mill, S.C., and Terri Buffet of Las Vegas; one son, D. Bruce Martin III of Linden, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Joanna Mills and Caroline McCullagh, both of San Diego; one stepson, Peter Rohrbough of Tiger, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Antonio Ruiz

Antonio Ruiz, 48, of Las Vegas died June 14 in Las Vegas. He was born July 16, 1955, in the Philippines. A resident for six years, he was a sales agent.

He is survived by his mother, Carmen Gonzalez; three sisters, Monserrat Cheung, Carmen Meredith and Antonette Jose; and three brothers, Anton Gonzalez, Joaquin Gonzalez and Peter Gonzalez.

Marion L. Savage

Marion L. Savage, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 15, 1938, in Emmett, Idaho. A resident for 27 years, he was an Air Force tech sergeant.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann; one daughter, Glenda Van Buren; four sons, Marion Savage Jr., Andy Savage, Johnnie Savage and David Savage; six brothers, James, Dave, Joe, Walt, Gary and Albert; three sisters, Lita, Emma Mae and Mary Ann; and six grandchildren.

Alvin Skramstad

Alvin Skramstad, 85, of North Las Vegas died May 24 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 6, 1918, in Minnesota. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired teacher's aide and World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; two stepsons, Bernard Scheiner of Northport, Ala., and Stan Scheiner of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Jeanie Forrest and Donna Johnson, both of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9:20 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Luise E. Wells

Luise E. Wells, 69, of Laughlin died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 18, 1934, in Germany. A resident for eight years, she was a retired private executive chef.

She is survived by one daughter, Alexandra Veeren of Laughlin; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Marguerite C. Zammit

Marguerite C. Zammit, 47, of Las Vegas died June 15 in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Boston. A resident for eight years, she was a sales administrator for a parcel delivery company and an organ donor.

She is survived by two sons, Vincent Gaglione and C.J. Gaglione, both of Henderson; four sisters, Georgina Noyes of Virginia Beach, Va., Nina Farrell of Scottsdale, Ariz., Rose Marie Zammit of Englewood, Fla., and Mary Patrizzi of Revere, Mass.; and five brothers, Charles Zammit, Andrew Zammit, Ralph Zammit and Sebastian Zammit, all of Virginia Beach, and Anthony Zammit of Quincy, Mass.

Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
