Diane M. Clarizia-West
Diane M. Clarizia-West, 58, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 26, 1945, in Massachusetts. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, William D. West; one daughter, Amanda J. Clarizia of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Sandra Tillson of Atascadero, Calif., and Judith Roth of Vista, Calif.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Rose Marie Crews
Rose Marie Crews, 97, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 17, 1906, in Salinas, Calif. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Frank Espinosa of North Bend, Ore., and Richard Copeland of Las Vegas; and two daughters, Bernice Bettencourt and Jackie Copeland, both of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in California. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
James Edward Dillon
James Edward Dillon, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Kentucky. A resident for three years, he was a retired office manager and a veteran of the Coast Guard and Merchant Marines.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A.; three sons, Craig S. Dillon, Darrell M. Dillon and James S. Fitzgerald; two daughters, Christine E. Dillon and Laurie A. Humboldt; and 12 grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Glen Duane Eiteman
Glen Duane Eiteman, 95, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 1, 1908. A resident for more than 25 years, he was an air-conditioning and refrigeration installer and repairman.
He is survived by two stepdaughters, Virginia Howard of Camarillo, Calif., and Peggy Kasper of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Carmen Fortunate
Carmen Fortunate, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 28, 1927, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired casino porter, a member of the Culinary Union and Niagara Falls Local.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two daughters, LuAnn Fortunate and Donna Nelson, both of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 3 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Alfonso Guerrero Jr.
Alfonso Guerrero Jr., 38, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 26, 1965, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for five years, he was a grocery stocker.
He is survived by his wife, Elida; two sons, Anthony Guerrero and Albert Guerrero; one daughter, Carolyn Guerrero; and two brothers, Henry Guerrero and Daniel Guerrero.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Monday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Jeanne R. Hill
Jeanne R. Hill, 85, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 5, 1919, in Oak Park, Ill. A resident for 52 years, she was a retired nurse and past president of Las Vegas Doll Club.
She is survived by five daughters, Donna J. Flight, Lee A. Groves, Linda S. Ware, Sandra L. Craver and Patricia M. Hill; one son, Daniel J. Hill; one brother, Marvin W. Weiss; 21 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Salomon Aron Katz Sr.
Salomon Aron Katz Sr., 72, of Henderson died Thursday in a local care center. He was born Dec. 15, 1931, in Cuba. A resident for nine years, he was a retired bakery worker.
He is survived by his wife, Sonia; two daughters, Sonia Katz and Kim Rodriguez, both of Henderson; three sons, Thomas Salviejo of Yuma, Ariz., Sal Katz Jr. of Germany and David Katz of Chula Vista, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Bennett Ashford Lybarger
Bennett Ashford Lybarger, 77, of Henderson passed away at his home on June 9, 2004 in Henderson. He was born July 5, 1926, in Moline, Ill., to Ashford F. and Minerva Butts. He was adopted in 1938 by John H. Lybarger. A resident for 34 years, he was a retired operating engineer and a World War II Navy veteran serving aboard the battleship USS Massachusetts, a veteran race car driver in both stock and sprint cars in the late '40s in the Midwest area. He owned Lybarger Excavating, Candyland Cycle and partnered with Ed Stender in Scott Development Co. He sponsored his sons in dirt bike racing and was quite successful in the Southwest. He was an avid poker player his whole life and well known at many casinos in the Las Vegas area.
He was preceded in death by an infant son and his adopted father.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia and would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2004; two daughters, Judith A. Arnts, husband Phillip, and Mary Jo Lybarger, sons, Fred M., James J., Charles J. Lybarger; five grandchildren, Rene Albers, Desiree Arnts, Ciera Lybarger, Bennett and Georgia Lybarger; and four great-grandchildren, Reanna and Gage Hammond and Brynn and Ethan Albers.
Visitation was scheduled 2-6 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Funeral services were noon Monday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services followed at 1:20 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Ella Mae Meacham
Ella Mae Meacham, 78, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 2, 1926, Bunkerville. A lifelong Southern Nevada resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William; one son, John Keyse of Gainesville, Ga.; one daughter, Patricia Loeb and Jamie, both of California; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 10 a.m. today in the LDS chapel at 19 Ocean Ave., Henderson. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Lydia Margaret Partington Nobs
Lydia Margaret Partington Nobs, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 24, 1913, in Silverton, Colo. A resident for six years, she was a retired registered nurse.
She is survived by two daughters, Benita Goltermann of Denver and Stevi Carroll of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held in San Diego. Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Las Vegas Catholic Worker, 500 W. Van Buren, Las Vegas, NV 89106.
Annie J. Riley
Annie J. Riley, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born May 20, 1919, in St. Joseph, La. A resident for 49 years, she was a hotel pantry worker.
She is survived by four sons, Richard Riley, Robert Riley, Earnest Riley and Andy Riley, and one daughter, Gloria Johnson, all of Las Vegas; 25 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Sunday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1240 W. Adams Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Robert Eugene Smith
Robert Eugene Smith, 76, of Kingman, Ariz., died Saturday in Kingman. He was born April 15, 1928, in Bowman, N.D. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a retired electrician and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by three daughters, Beverly DeeDon of Kingman, Rosanne Guillemette of Las Vegas and Lisa Robison of Atascadero, Calif.; three sons, Anthony Smith of Las Vegas, Robert Smith of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Bart Smith of Phoenix; three sisters, Laura Beth and Iva Faye Whitley, both of New Salem, N.D., and Hilla Whitley of Rogersville, Ala.; one brother, Donald Smith of Fargo, N.D.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
