Cooking show
Ruby Ann Boxcar, TV personality and best-selling author of five cookbooks, will host a free barbecue demonstration at noon Saturday at Creative Cooking School, 7385 W. Sahara Ave.
Folk Fest
Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel will sponsor the International Folk Festival of Las Vegas from today to Sunday on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas. Nearly 800 performers will represent a variety of nations. Admission is free. 388-0948.

Juneteenth
Celebrate Juneteenth from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park, at the intersection of Twin Lakes Drive and West Washington Avenue. 'Amazing Castle'
