Police seek three in deaths of two men

Metro Police this morning were on the lookout for three men believed to have killed two men outside a local apartment complex.
Officers responded to the Rancho Mesa apartment complex about 12:30 a.m. after neighbors reported hearing more than 20 shots fired. When they arrived, police found two Las Vegas men -- both in their early 20s -- had died at the scene, Metro Homicide Lt. Tom Monahan said.
The victims' names were not available this morning. No arrests had been made.
Investigators were still looking into what may have motivated the shooting, Monahan said. The department's gang unit was on the scene, but detectives do not believe the incident was gang-related, he said.
"We don't really know, but there's no reason to believe that (it was gang-related)," Monahan said.
Neighbors said three men in their late teens or early 20s left in a white sport utility vehicle.
