Cashman joins ethics panel

CARSON CITY -- Gov. Kenny Guinn has named Las Vegas businessman Tim Cashman to the state Ethics Commission to succeed Betsy Gonzalez, who resigned to run for District Court in Clark County.
Cashman, a Democrat, is president of the Cashman Companies and is a third generation of the Cashman family in Southern Nevada.
Cashman, 44, graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas and received a bachelor of business degree from Loyola Marymount College in California.
He returned to Nevada and managed the family's heavy equipment business in Reno and Elko and then moved to Las Vegas.
