Longtime volunteers at Lake Mead recognized

In his 2002 State of the Union Address, President Bush asked every American to donate 4,000 hours -- the equivalent of two years -- of volunteer service to their country. Fifteen Nevada volunteers have reached that goal or surpassed it in their giving their time to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
The volunteers recognized by Lake Mead National Receation Area Superintendent William K. Dickinson as Take Pride in America Presidential-Level volunteers were:
The volunteers contributed a total of 134,732 hours over the last few years by performing in such positions as landscaper, ground crew maintenance, campground host, maintenance assistant, administrator, visitor assistant and safety patroller.
